It's not irony. I don't know what it is, but it's not irony.

Missed this one, but "guy who created thing using said thing" is pretty far from ironic. That's like saying "Elon Musk seen driving a Tesla." It might be ironic if he did it wrong, crushed the woman's ribs and she choked to death. Or if he choked to death.

Agreed. but it IS ironic that he'd never used it before. I'm pretty sure Elon Musk drives a Tesla every day.

When I met J-Lo last week, I had him agree that something was ironic, but now I can't remember what it was. RI bud is pretty good I guess.

Well there was a caveat required for it to be ironic that ended up most certainly not grounded in reality and so it was ultimately deemed not ironic.

But, yes...it's phenomenal.

Not really irony, when you consider that his own rage instigated both the incident for which he was imprisoned, and the incident in which he died.

It's ironic because the prison system reforms criminals so they never repeat their crimes.

"It's a little ironic or coincidental that you are putting solar green energy on a coal museum," said Roger Noe, a former state representative who sponsored the legislation that created the coal museum. "Coal comes from nature, the sun rays come from nature so it all works out to be a positive thing."
I've read this 5 times and still can't make sense of it.

That's a good tag line for the coal lobby - "Coal comes from nature."

Did her misguided point of view on being owed something encompass that scenario? Like...did she rail against those who sued people? Just wondering.

I think the more ironic thing is that of all the reasons to terminate an employment of a person with garbage opinions spouting those garbage opinions, she gets canned for having a reasonable one.

I don't know if she specifically went after people who sue their employer (or anyone, really), but if she hadn't, it's just because she hadn't gotten to it yet. It's a favorite target of conservatives (e.g. see "tort reform").

“The monument may also attract pre-existing Satanists to our community as a place for theistic Satanic ritual activities that victimize our children,” he said.

It could lead to a “form of grooming similar to that used by pedophiles,” Father Lynch said, which “Satanists use … to erode a child’s trust in caring authority figures including their parents, teachers and police officers.”

This grooming is intended to not only make children afraid to report the abuse they suffer at the hands of Satanists, but also, to feel personally responsible for the evil they have suffered as youthful victims,” Father Lynch added. “Most disturbing is the fact that theistic Satanic ritual activities are known to include deviant sexual acts with and among children.”

Phil Collins Hospitalized After Fall, Shows Postponed

Phil Collins postponed two shows (6/8-9) at London’s Royal Albert Hall after he slipped and hit his head as a result of a back operation. Collins was taken to the hospital where he received stitches for what a statement calls a “severe gash” on his head. He will remain in the hospital under observation for 24 hours. The shows on Collins’ Not Dead Yet tour are some of the first he’s played in 10 years and the two nights at Royal Albert Hall have been rescheduled for 11/26-27.

Submitted for your consideration...

Hobby Lobby - Bastion of Morality - Fined $3 million
Hobby Lobby’s president and in-house lawyer spoke with an expert on cultural property law who warned them that antiquities from ancient Iraq may have been looted from archaeological sites. In a memo, the expert told them that any items of Iraqi origin that were not properly declared could be seized by customs officials.

Hobby Lobby proceeded with the sale. Starting in late 2010, a United Arab Emirates-based dealer sent 10 packages to three different Hobby Lobby addresses in Oklahoma City, with shipping labels reading “ceramic tiles” or “clay tiles (sample),” according to the complaint. No formal entries were made for the shipments. Prosecutors said the use of multiple addresses was “consistent with methods used by cultural property smugglers to avoid scrutiny by Customs.”
