Well, the guy who was in charge of the Flint water system at the time they made this disastrous decision to disconnect from Detroit is no longer in that position, and can't harm the City of Flint any longer.

He is now in charge of the Detroit Public Schools.

So, you've probably been following the carnage in the financial markets. As luck (for me) would have it, we switched 401(k) providers so all of our accounts were liquidated before the end of the year and just re-invested today with the new provider. No way to know for sure, but between all our company's employees might have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars.

It's been a crazy market, hasn't it? I got cashed out of some restricted stock after the acquisition of my old company closed, and I wish I hadn't put that money in the market (index funds), but I just received my severance on Saturday, so at least that money is still whole. But, I'm afraid to invest it anywhere, now.

I'm sure some would disagree but I'm still pretty bullish on US stocks (if they're not energy related). This is just an overreaction to China and oil prices. There's some bargains to be had.

A soccer fan from London said he tried to stop the attackers on London Bridge on Saturday after drinking, he said, “four or five pints, nothing major.” According to the Guardian, the Millwall fan, Roy Larner, was stabbed in the attack and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but is now out of intensive care.

Larner said, per the Guardian:
