Between that and Lozo's NHL trade value list, the last 10 minutes of my life have been amazing.

I basically never go to the theatre to see movies - I will be there opening weekend.

I know you go to Asheville fairly often, so I just learned earlier today the movie was filmed in Sylva, NC -- about 25 minutes outside Asheville. Pretty cool town actually, been there a bunch of times since a friend of my friend who lives in AVL lives there.

Very cool. That's the opposite direction of Asheville from where we go each summer (Black Mountain), but it looks like a quaint little town, other than McDormand kicking people in the crotch all over the place.

Yeah man. There are some great hikes at Montreat College, just up the road from Black Mountain.

High Fidelity was released in 2000, but the AV Club has a good new article discussing it (and music snobs and soundtrack albums). First thing I thought of when I saw it was Giff's old avatar.

It(IT) looks awesome. Better than original which I love.

I'm also watching temple of doom on Amazon in between lady hoop baskets and how the hell is this in HD? It looks tremendous.

The IT trailer is phenomenal. I liked the original mini series also, but it's clearly a product of (early 90s) network tv and can't capture the same horror feel the novel has. It looks like this movie is trying to exactly that.

RAiser of the lost ark is a well constructed movie. Very impressive. Yes I've watched the main trilogy in reverse order. Suck it.

Also if you agree please don't respond. It's lacking in efficacy.

Just saw this in my Facebook feed - 30 years since Withnail And I came out.

Everyone has a list of "10 Favourite Movies" or "5 Greatest Comedies I've Ever Seen" and the lists are usually fluid.

But this movie is etched in stone in both lists for me.

I really wish I could say that I've never seen a "Fast/Furious" movie, but I mistakenly watched the first one years ago on DVD. Stupid movie, stupid premise. I can't believe they've milked it for 7 sequels.

I haven't seen any of them, but I have a pet theory that there's only ever been one Fast + Furious movie ever made, they just re-edit it and release it as a new movie every year and no one can tell.

I watched Moonlight on the plane home the other day. Great movie. I can see why it won Best Picture. I knew very little about it, so I was able to enjoy it with very little expectation of what it was about or what was going to happen. Simultaneously sad, sweet, and hopeful. Great acting throughout.

I still had plenty of flight left (it's a big country!), so I mistakenly followed that one with Assassin's Creed. Now, I knew that wouldn't be a good movie, but I thought it might be fun. And it stars Michael Fassbender! I was wrong. That movie made no fucking sense at all.

Just watched it for the first time last night. Great movie. I haven't sorted it all out in my head yet, but I'm not ready to sign on to your spoiler yet. Maybe, but not yet. Obviously, the very last scene was meant to set up that debate. I'm guessing there are other clues at other points of the movie. I need to do some Interneting to see what I may have missed.

Just back from Guardians of the Galaxy....

I really enjoyed the first one, but this one? I don't know....a solid "meh" from me. Something was just off about it...it really dragged in a few spots. That said, there were also some really funny spots, and Baby Groot was great.

Kurt Russell was completely wasted as Peter's father. And I'm amazed I didn't hear that Stallone shows up in the one.
And enough with the endless scenes after the credits.
