If you are not seeing Thor - what about Lady Bird or Three Billboards? Those two have overwhelmingly good reviews I think - Lady Bird is 100% as of this morning...

And Three Billboards is written and directed by the same guy that wrote and directed old Swamp favorite In Bruges.

Yeah, I put up the early trailer for that in here. So pumped - but it isn't to Baltimore yet. 94% fresh. I may hike down to DC to see it this weekend if time permits.

Dying to see it - but we never go to the theatre, so I'll wait a few months.

But I am going to see Coco next week. Pixar is the gold standard, and it looks spectacular.

The Cable Guy is on, one of the only Jim Carrey movies I can stomach. One of the most underrated/misunderstood comedies of all-time.

One of the talk radio shows --> Now a podcast is obsessed with that movie, so I hear a fairly steady flow of clips from The Cable Guy. Agree that it's a very underrated movie.

Fantastic underrated movie, although its use of Somebody to Love falls just short of the Oscar for "Best Use of a Song in an Inharmonious Way" to Singing in the Rain in Clockwork Orange.

Justice league was nowhere near as bad as I was led to believe it would be. It wasn't great but it was a fine waste of two hours.

I think you can make a case that “Running Scared” is the best Billy Crystal movie.

Disagree. (I remember Lionel Richie dominant on the soundtrack. I didn't believe Billy Crystal, Gregory Hines and Baryshnikov as tough guys.)

I much preferred City Slickers.

No Russian dancers but it does have Jimmy Smits as a druglord. And Dan Hedaya playing his best version of a grizzled police lieutenant.

EDIT: Scratch that part about Baryshnikov and Lionel Richie - I was confusing Running Scared with White Nights, which also starred Gregory Hines.

Also any movie with a montage set to a Michael McDonald song is automatically in the top five percent of all movies ever.

The Pixar Monsters movies and there's nothing else of his I'd even consider rewatching - maybe City Slickers.

I’m looking forward to seeing The Disaster Artist when it opens next Friday. The SF Chronicle raved about it and it sounds hilarious.

It’s based on the making of The Room (released in 2003). We watched it, and it is really really horrible. Comically so. (Read the wiki on The Room.)

Worked in a restaurant when I was in college that continually played Michael McDonald and the Moody Blues. Thank goodness it was only a Summer job.
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
