Personally -- and this is probably just me -- I'd swap Virginia Madsen and Kim Basinger there, but otherwise that's right on the money.

Frank Sinatra's 10 Long-Term Romantic Interests (According to Wikipedia) Ranked

1. Lana Turner
2. Angie Dickinson
3. Marilyn Monroe
4. Ava Garner
5. Lauren Bacall
6. Barbara Marx
7. Juliet Prowse
8. Barbara Sinatra
9. Judy Garland
10. Mia Farrow

That top 5 is beyond belief. The bottom two make no sense. His penis must have been very disappointed.

No Amy Madigan (some people like spunky), Rachel Hall/Glenn Close (that is like Mary Ann/Ginger in the Natural), Stacy Carroll (true may not have been a love interest), and you have to put Lonette McKee in some place or it just is way to caucasianly biased.

Jeez, I'm blanking on Virginia Madsen. What 1980s baseball movie was she in?

I was always a fan of the woman who played the wife in The Rookie (I think that's the name - Dennis Quaid). But that wasn't in the 80s.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Madsen I think was in some made-for-HBO movie where William Petersen was a player.

Rachel Griffiths. But that was like 2004 I think.

Swamp things that annoy Jerloma:
?. People mentioning actresses in non-80's baseball movies in this thread
?. People mentioning actresses other than Hayworth or Garnder in the Hayworth vs. Gardner thread

And BTW, after some googling I found an 80's baseball movie that Rebecca De Mornay starred in which might force an adjustment to your rankings.

That list is all kinds of fucked up. My ranking:
1. Marilyn Monroe
2. Lana Turner
3. Juliet Prowse
4. Ava Gardner
5. Lauren Bacall
6-10. also rans

And if Rita Hayworth didn't bang Sinatra, she did marry both Orson Welles and Prince Aly Khan and supposedly dated shitloads of big shots of her era.

Been to Budapest a number of times. It's a fascinating crossroads of East and West. The better parts are on the level of a Western European city, while others are still relics of the Communist era (or earlier). That train station is like something out of a gothic horror novel. Being in a country where everyone literally talks like a vampire doesn't help.

1) Monterrosso in Liguria is a tiny two platform station perched on the side o fa hill with the main drag of a ridiculously gorgeous town and the Mediterranean on the other side.

And the big stations in Japan are otherworldly. The one in Kyoto in particular is a modern architectural marvel.

I have had a single anxiety attack in my life (a year ago). It completely changed how I view things like depression and anxiety disorders. It was quite simply the most horrifying experience of my life. My daughter's anxiety issues are usually manifest in OCD, and while I was as understanding and as helpful as a good parent should be, I couldn't really relate to her. After that horrible night, I understand her a lot better.

I didn't think Keleti (Budapest) and Hlavni Nadrazi (Prague) were that bad. I mean it's Eastern Europe. There's not a lot of amenities, but what's the big deal about there not being a Starbucks? (Not saying that was your complaint, just saying I guess I didn't think they were that bad.) I had a week's worth of laundry done at the train station in Prague for like $4.

Where would a train station that looks like a broken down picnic shelter with a couple small stone buildings with boarded up windows and a pay phone rank? I ask because, even though I have not been to the train station in Sandusky, Ohio in over 20 years, I doubt they have sunk a cent into it in that time.

Checks google maps...

Holy shit, lots of money sunk in. New buildings with windows!

Like they're trying to live up to their code (SKY).

Its like a cooler, much more historic version of Boston South Station (which I'd have at the top of the Boston list). But I also find transit stuff in general doesn't annoy me nearly as much as most normal people. Like Penn Station isn't fun, but I don't have the hatred for it that most people do unless I have to shit or something. 30th St. in Philadelphia bothers me more because (as of a decade ago) there was just so much less to eat/drink there.

So I guess of the ones I've frequented (5+ lifetime rides) ...

1. Grand Central
2. Boston South Station
3. 30th St. Philadelphia (reconsidering a bit, the lack of crowds might outweigh the annoying location and lack of options)
4. Penn Station (certainly gross, but its kinda cool to think the Rangers play on the 5th floor and you can get Singlecut there sometimes)
5. Boston North Station (truly hate this one)
6. Wilmington, DE ... "train?" station
7. Poughkeepsie Station
8. Metropark (Iselin, NJ)
Hell. Trenton Transit Station

I can't ever recall being in Back Bay station aside from the subway and I'm assuming this is a "real trains" list so its off for now.

I know this is weird since I'm relatively less horrified by Penn than normal people, but I can't eat there. That's my line. And go to Haymaker a few blocks down next time if you have more time than just grabbing a slice.

The station in York in England is - if memory serves - really nice. Edinburgh Waverly as well.

\Toronto's Union station is beautiful in the main concourse, but the bulk of the station - which is a subway hub, which adjoins the air canada Centre, which is also the central Toronto stop for commuter trains as well as train service to Montreal and Ottawa - has been in the process of being upgraded for at least 5 years now. It is a giant maze of hoardings and detours which are enough to kill someone with claustrophobia.
