So Gianluigi Buffon is an Italian, more successful, more handsome, slightly older, soccer-playing Henrik Lundqvist?

Dude, if you think he's hotter than Henrik, you're either gay or not gay.

More handsome than Lundqvist? Is that even possible?

Conflicting reports right now. I've heard "bomb" used. I've heard "firecracker". The pictures of the bus don't show a ton of damage. Apparently the wound is superficial, etc. Kinda too early to say.

I had a crazy thought last week - what if the bombs were not strong enough to actually kill and had been planted by someone working for a group of big time gamblers?

A stupid idea, but now it doesn't seem so far fetched.

If it's true, what a tragic end for a great player. What he's doing at age 35 in the EPL is pretty amazing.

London - Everton star Ross Barkley received an apology from The Sun tabloid newspaper on Saturday over a column that made "unfavourable comparisons" to a gorilla.

The newspaper printed the apology and said it had not been aware that the England midfielder's grandfather was from Nigeria.

The column was headlined "Here's why they go ape at Ross" alongside pictures of Barkley and a gorilla.

"At the time of publication the paper was unaware of Ross Barkley's heritage and there was never any slur intended.

"As soon as his background was drawn to our attention, the article was removed from online.

Liverpool FC banned The Sun from its Anfield stadium and its training ground in February this year over the paper's coverage.

Many shops in the city also refuse to sell the newspaper.
"Its only bad because he has African Heritage."

No. No! It shouldnt be acceptable to compare people to Gorillas whether they have African Heritage or are as white as snow.

They werent being Racist because they admittedly had no idea about his heritage, they were just being assholes.

True, but... They've become so reliant on him. I'd be ok if the torch is passed and Marcus and Anthony can pick up the mantle.

Game of the year?

That last goal was awesome. It took around 15 seconds for the ball to travel from the Barca back line to the back of the Real net.

Best game I saw this year. Totally lived up to the hype. Messi burying the winner on the last kick after all of the abuse he took was perfect. I can't even really hate Madrid, mainly because of how I feel about CR7, but I like Ramos, Marcelo, Bale, and Modric as well. Casemiro and Pepe remain the worst. Loathing Suarez helps me see Barca's flaws too.

It's nice for Chelsea to finally be putting pressure on Spurs by winning first and not the other way around. It would be nerve wracking to play the later game and have the lead down to 1. I much prefer 7 with Spurs having to cut into it.

At the same time, I'm concerned with Chelsea's suddenly porous D. Two more goals conceded today. That's 11 straight Premier League games without a clean sheet. Not good.

I wouldn't worry - one was in complete garbage time.

The title race is over. Chelsea's next game is at Everton. After that it's the dregs of the Premier League. No way they drop more than three points.

Spurs have Arsenal and Mun U at home and Leicester and the suddenly hot Palace on the road.

Hope for 2nd and Arsenal in the Europa league.

Farewell Joey Barton

Certainly in the running for the biggest asshole ever to play any sport.
“On the few occasions where I placed a bet on my own team to lose, I was not involved in the matchday squad for any of those games. I did not play. I was not even on the bench. I had no more ability to influence the outcome than had I been betting on darts, snooker, or a cricket match in the West Indies. I should add that on some of those occasions, my placing of the bet on my own team to lose was an expression of my anger and frustration at not being picked or being unable to play."

Perfectly fitting end to his career. Barton clearly has some sort of mental illness or disorder. I was always amazed when he was able to land a spot on a new team. I can't imagine why anyone would ever bring that cancer into their locker room.

I do like how it's setting up for United, City and Arsenal fans to all be deeply disappointed after this season. United and City both to Europa, Arsenal backdooring a CL spot and thus having to keep Wenger. Everyone loses.

Thank you, Pedro. For the first hour, that Chelsea-Everton game could have gone either way. Neither team seemed to be really crisp. Pedro basically scored a great goal all by himself though to open things up. Chelsea scored twice more to finally get a clean sheet.

Magic number is down to 9 with four to play. Go Arsenal!

The Championship is going down to the last day next Sunday. Brighton has lost their last two, letting Newcastle get within one point.

Fritz will be at St. James's Park for Newcastle-Barnsley.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.
