Guess it does sound like gloating.

But it's more of an anti-Mourinho thing than an anti-Man U thing.

The Mourinho apologist in me says he's dealing with a ton of injuries. My eyes tell me that was wretched to watch.

Seems like Carrick and Daley Blind will be the centerbacks vs. Celta

Well, I thought it might be poetic if Leicester were to beat Tottenham, giving the title to Chelsea - a return-the-favor for last season. But I guess West Ham will have to do!

If Chelsea can win the next two, they'll clinch the title before Spurs even kick off again.

Wenger finally beat Mourinho, and I didn't care. Not sure if this means I am ready for Wenger to leave, burned out from a brutally disappointing season, or indifferent because Mourinho has been awfully quiet at United. Probably all of the above.

Great scenes in Tottenham today.

And while spurs only won by a goal, that was definitely the worst United team I can remember seeing. Flat, uninspired and an absolutely horrid midfield.

West Ham played like they had dinner reservations.

And I know Chelsea had a great season, and are deserving champions, but Spurs are a damn fun to watch play.

His goal was really an own goal.

The only exciting or relevant part of his game was whether or not he'd get a second yellow. Question - It would seem that Mourinho knoew early on that Rooney was a spent force. So why is he playing him now? Is there really no one else on that expensive bench?

Forest Green Rovers go to the Football League. Based in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire they are a village team. They were founded in 1889 adn this will be the first time they have ever been in the League. Current owner is pro environment. Solar Panels on the stands (10% energy use covered). They have Robot lawn mowers for the field and are fully organic pitch. They have no meat on game days at the stadium.

nice interactive chart of the EPL season

https://public.tableau.com/views/Wherea ... _count=yes

Liverpool dropped many points to lesser teams. 6 red squares. They did not lose a single game out of 14 to the top 8.

Wouldn't that be a much better graphic if the teams walked down steps from Chelsea to Sunderland?

(Like, Chelsea dropped more games to teams below them than like 5 or 6 other teams but that's because every team was below them.)

THE BIG ONE IS TODAY! According to Guardian's MBM, Ajax's XI is young, and set up to attack.

Ajax: Onana; Riedewald, De Ligt, Sanchez, Veltman; Ziyech, Schone, Klaassen; Younes, Dolberg, Traore. Subs: Boer, Tete, Westermann, De Jong, Van der Beek, Kluivert, Neres.

Manchester United: Romero; Valencia, Smalling, Blind, Darmian; Herrera, Fellaini; Mata, Pogba, Mkhitaryan; Rashford. Subs: De Gea, Fosu-Mensah, Lingard, Carrick, Jones, Martial, Rooney.

I like the Man U set up, even if starting Fellaini scares me.

As a big fan of terriers in general, I will be cheering for Huddersfield to stay up for at least a couple of seasons.
But not as hard as Sir Patrick Stewart

Highlights here. Brutally tense penalty shootout - these Championship playoffs are known as "200 million pound games." Talk about pressure.

May David Wagner coach more EPL games than his appearances for the US Men's National Team and get more games (and support) than Bob Bradley's EPL coaching run.

Talk about rewarding fans' faith...

(from the Guardian)
Thanks to a perhaps slightly rash promise made by the chairman, Dean Hoyle, in 2009, Huddersfield fans who have been season ticket holders for the past eight years will be able to purchase a season ticket for £100 next season. That works out at about £5.26 per Premier League game – decent value, particularly if Wagner extends his remarkable feats even further.

League 1 - 6th place team won
League 2 - 7th place team won

All this transfer shit is fun and reminds me of the MLB or NHL draft where I decide I really want a player based on scouting reports or player type but without having ever seen him play. Van Dijk seems like he would have been a really nice fit.
