Windy enough to break two kites, one of which went before I could even get string off the spool to try to get it airborne. The other lasted less than two minutes aloft.

Great fun for the kids.

Maybe they'll enjoy watching Marko Stunt die tonight.

Warm (mid to upper 80's) but low dew point and a nice breeze here in Tompa Bay, so it's pretty nice out. Storms expected tomorrow morning, then two days where the highs don't reach 80. Should be glorious.

I think I speak for many members of the northeast/mid-Atlantic regional swamper contingent when I say “shut up, chedda.”

This is last vestiges of the season type weather. I doubt we'll experience anything this nice again until at least Thanksgiving.

It sounds like the Masters outside my house right now. Thank god for at least one day of spectacular weather. Already one big bloody in, and a few rounds with the pax and it couldn’t get much better.

Spring has fuckin sprung, guys.

Yeah, it's supposed to snow in Michigan tomorrow. One of my favorite bits of Michigan trivia is the only month there's never been a recorded snowfall in Michigan is July.

We once went on a camping trip in the UP the week after Labor Day, so the first week of June and there was still snow on the ground everywhere.

You may want to rethink your Michigan provided education.

Second time in four days I have snow sticking. Big, fluffy flakes right now.

Decided I won't be mowing until this weekend because this is stupid.

Does that mean is has never snowed in July? Because wouldn't a single snow flake in the state since 1863 be a record?

Spring has been glorious in Alabama. Nicest spring in my memory of living here. Basically mid low 70’s every day for the past 6 weeks. Will hit mid 80’s next couple of days so the start of summer is here and I am ready for it now.

I think the key here is "recorded".

It's over 100 and I haven't put on a shirt all day so far, so it's officially summer in Las Vegas.

Today is the first truly miserably humid day in the DMV this Spring. It's been a pretty glorious run, quite frankly. And everyone's yards, flowers and gardens are really showing it. (Not related to the humidity, necessarily, just that it's been so temperate with scattered showers, as opposed to the usual scorchers, t-storms and other swings that tend to mess things.)

So, we are having a little heat wave in California. Combine that with a lack of rain, then a huge fricking lightning storm over the weekend, and now we have many big fires going on in the state. The air is so smoky and hot around here, it feels like you can chew on it.

The closest big fire to me is in the Santa Cruz mountains. And, if the firefighters didn't have enough already to deal with...
