Last night on the weather, they guys said 'cold and clear' for the next two weeks, here. So, no rain for us means no snow for the Rockies.

I can't believe a storm finally hit. After all those storms that got us hyped for 10 days only to get drizzle.

Cold here as well (for Seattle anyways...about 30 degrees this morning). Got the ice cream headache on the ride to work this morning.

EAting ice cream in 30 degree weather on a bike seems like a bad idea.

I really shouldn't complain about the weather in December and January here.

Looking like rainy with a high of 45 and a low of 32 on Xmas Day. About as perfect as I can ask for around here.

The Year They Cancelled New Years Eve

The City of Toronto's annual 5 hour outdoor concert/New years party reduced to half an hour of fireworks.

Williams said there will be a large presence of paramedics at Nathan Phillips Square. (the area around City Hall where the show was to be)

As Toronto residents ring in the New Year the temperature is expected to hit -23 C around midnight on Monday but will feel like -28 C with the wind chill,

That's -20 fahrenheit.

A bunch of shore towns here are cancelling their 1/1 polar bear plunges because it’s supposed to be in the teens Monday AM.

With the wind chill, it's -20 c (-4 f) right now. Going up to a high of -9 c with 30 MPH gusts all day.

And this is the mildest day we've got until Sunday. Honestly, the forecasts for Friday and Saturday are frightening.

Took advantage of a forecasted high of 22 (up to 16 right now) and sunshine to clean up the sidewalk and salt the driveway this morning. Floor scraper once again proving to be the best Home Depot purchase in 4+ years of home ownership.

No problem with the former, but an employee using an account that is predominately used as a news outlet for that joke is pretty tasteless.

Earthquake last night, centered a couple miles from Berkeley. Pretty good shaker. Woke up everybody at my house, at about 2:40 am. It was a 4.4 but felt bigger to me.

I agree with this as well. It's in poor taste.

How's our East Coasters doing? Anyone buried?
