Detectives say a 21-year-old man was looking for someone to kill, found a 75-year-old man using a walking stick, and deliberately ran him over Thursday afternoon.
We also had a DUI guy speed down Bayshore Blvd at 3x the legal limit at 11:30 a.m.! yesterday. Killed a runner, knocking him into the bay. I run that path ~3x/wk.
According to the charging documents, the victims of the cyberstalking campaign were a Natick couple who are the editor and publisher of an online newsletter that covers ecommerce companies, including eBay, a multinational ecommerce business that offers platforms for consumer-to-consumer and business-to-consumer transactions. Members of the executive leadership team at eBay followed the newsletter’s posts, often taking issue with its content and the anonymous comments underneath the editor’s stories.
It is alleged that in August 2019, after the newsletter published an article about litigation involving eBay, two members of eBay’s executive leadership team sent or forwarded text messages suggesting that it was time to “take down” the newsletter’s editor.

I'm not reading the Sergio Mitre story, but just the one sentence summary is enough for me to recommend actively avoiding.

Wise choice. I didn't heed your advice and wish I had.

I didn't click the Ladybugs story...but then a comedian (Mike Bridenstine) talked about it on his podcast and I couldn't hit the pause button fast enough.

Shudder...
Eh, I find Lindsay Graham's naming his taint moles endearing.
Des Moines radio hosts Heather Lee and Fish's morning Nov. 20 started like any other workday. The new "Everything That Rocks" duo hosts the Lazer 103.3 morning show from 6-10 a.m. Monday-Friday.
Part of the job, in addition to keeping up a lively patter with guests and spinning KAZR's FM rock soundtrack, is keeping an eye on the station's social media, where the morning team gets occasional comments from listeners.
But that day, Fish, aka Sean Fisher, noticed the station's Facebook page was getting messages like "bam, bam, bam."
The cause: A diatribe against Lee by another morning radio show host, Aaron Imholte at WHMH Rockin' 101 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. His "Steel Toe Morning Show" was broadcasting both over the air and on a streaming platform.
What the hell...
On a recording of the show, he is hearing saying he had told Fisher of his disdain for Lee. "I called her fat, diabetic, I said that she had toddler breath," Imholte said.
"She's finished!" he yelled, with someone laughing in the background.
He encouraged listeners to post insults against Lee on KAZR's social media. "We will bury her. We're bullying today."
He complimented Fisher as a "smart guy," but belittled Lee, saying she had no business as a "girl" being on morning radio. Then he went a step further, calling her "stupid" and a "pig," and urging listeners to start a rumor that she "uses the N-word in her private time."

Had to dig a bit to see if that was "the fish" from KJR...but nope

School forfeited rest of playoffs and kid charged with assault.
Soccer parents are bad. I'd say hoops is worse but the competition eventually humbles pretty much everyone. Can't imagine the levels of insanity inside (and outside) a HS cheerleading program.

Probably the worst, after 5 year old beauty pageants.

I don't know if he was referring to a specific incident or if this is just a non sequitur, but either way, it's a good statement.
ETA: Lots of people in the comments saying that Freeman never said this and it isn't his quote. Oh, well.

There's a fair amount of drama amongst the girls (from the reports I get from my daughter), but the none among the parents as far as I can tell.
