Not going to fight you over *this*, but I don't get how someone can know Hannigan but not the boundary-pushing, career-making role she played for seven seasons on a still-beloved show with a limited but vociferous fanbase (steve from Utah, for g-d's sake!).

Is Buffy streaming anywhere? I think that might be the only (multi-season) show that I fully own in physical media, but if I recommend it to my kids they aren't gonna sit downstairs and watch DVDs.

I'd say 96-2002 is a fairly large blind spot for me on TV to be honest. Me and the boys didn't settle in for some Buffy and then I had kids so...

Yeah, if you kidnapped me off the street yesterday and asked me what she's known from, I say HIMYM and then think for a second, remember American Pie and that's it.

A year ago it was available on some random on-demand service we had on our Comcast, so we re-watched the first season and part of the second. But once Jenny Calendar appeared I had to stop. I didn't want to go through that trauma again.

A couple of weeks ago I saw some tweets talking about Buffy streaming on Disney Plus - but I think that's only in the UK. Hopefully it'll make it onto Disney Plus in the US soon.

Thinking back, I probably wouldn't have watched Buffy except that my wife and I had a lot of debt back then and so we didn't have cable. There were maybe five or six stations here, and the WB was one of them. If we had the full slate of choices back then I don't know if we would have started with the show, at least not in the first few seasons.

A couple weeks ago, when I couldn’t sleep past 5, I was figuring that DST might shift me to a normal schedule.

Now I’ll need DST to sleep until 5.

There's a new person in my running group named Brandon and he just moved here from Minnesota, so I made a reference to 90210. He had no idea what I was talking about and never heard of the show. Maybe if we were in Beverley Hills the joke would have worked better. And his mother's name is Brenda.

No, your location was fine. If you were in Beverly Hills and made that joke you might’ve heard a groan or two. Brandon from Minnesota would do well to understand cultural references that involve his own name and state of birth.

Actually, he could’ve been sarcastic?

He was my favorite AL player from the 80s.

And we're three years away from the Brewers spending as much time in the NL as the AL.

But Yount was one of my favorites too. In the mid-1970s we spent our summers running a restaurant in Wisconsin, where Yount was a big deal.

1982 Orioles fan BFJ hates Robin Yount for his heroics at the end of the 1982 regular season vs. the Orioles.

1987 Orioles fan hates Robin Yount for preserving Juan Nieves' no hitter vs. the Orioles. I was there. He made a ridiculous diving catch in the OF to rob Eddie Murray of a double and end the game.

That stat about the brewers almost being in the NL for as long as they were in the AL makes me feel very old indeed.

When do the Braves get to Atlanta > Boston?

Well, the Braves are one of the two extant teams from the first season of the National League in 1876, so they got some time before that.

That, and they haven’t been in Atlanta proper since 2016, because they needed their stadium away from the darks.
