We're one step ahead of Charlie Brown this year.
Until everything is less insane, I'm mixing weed with wine.

We broke down and bought our first fake this year.

I am simultaneously enamoured and terrified of real trees.

The key is not drinking too much before putting it in the stand.

Was out in California for a quick trip to help my dad drive his car back after my mom busted her hip/leg and went to my first tree chopping outing. We've always done fake, but I think when we're in Colorado next year I'm getting a real one.

When I was a young boy growing up in Colorado, we regularly chopped down our own tree. Big outings along with another family. Mainly I remember liking the part afterward where we drank hot chocolate and warmed up.

I gave my sister shit when after we were done her aunt had brings out an awesome picnic spread, but my sister didn't share the fact we could've brought wine and beer.
