Interesting. I have seen the feature where you don't need to type anything after the =. You can leave it blank and the post will just say spoiler and you can click it if you want to be spoiled. is there a separate spoiler tag without the "="? or do people like it that way?

That's it! It looks like you can still customize the spoiler text itself by just adding a "=" to the tag. But I figure that's busy work for most people.

Hey, would it be possible to enable strikethroughs so we can do sarcastic fake edits and FIFYs? Or do we already have that and I just missed it?

We already have that, you can find it by looking for "mister d" on the left of the post.

Is there a way to make a button that embeds Instagram posts the way we're able to embed Twitter posts?

Thanks in advance.

In looking for that, I came across an extension that looks way cool. It will recognize when you insert a URL from any of a zillion other sites and it knows how to convert that URL to an embedded image/video/sound/text/etc.

Take a look at this - https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=2272431" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That said, before I install something like that, I REALLY need to update the board. We're a few versions behind and ... well, I think we know why we want to be on the latest version, with all security fixes.

Does anyone else have the issue where 90 percent of the time when you post, the site kind of crashes. I can hit the back arrow and then go back to the board, but it's weird and annoying.

Yep, every time I post an error message and I just hit my bookmark on the bar to go back to the front page. Post goes up fine. It's probably been happening like that for 4 + months now.

Realizing this is not the biggest deal in the world...is there a functional reason we no longer see who a quote is from?

It's not a supported feature in the board CSS (styling) some people use and unfortunately nothing Rerun Dave can do about it. Either have to live with it or switch to the "prosilver" style instead of "subsilver2".

I preferred subsilver myself but it is what it is.

Right. I use the default prosilver and quotes work perfectly fine. Another nice perk of prosilver is that it works great on mobile, whereas subsilver2 kind of sucks at that. subsilver2 is actually not included in phpbb anymore. I added it back a few versions ago, because people liked it, but it's out of date and doesn't really support the latest board software.

If you want to go to the phpbb site and play around with other supported styles, I'm happy to add additional ones if you find one you like.

I did some more investigation and found that it's the LastPass Chrome Extension that's breaking it. Hopefully they'll fix it soon, because I kinda need that one. https://community.logmein.com/t5/LastPa ... m-p/291536

While I have you all here, I do need to update the board at some point. We aren't way out of date, but it's best to stay updated. I'll probably try to do it this weekend. If you notice things down for a bit, just try again later.
