What's most convenient for you? If you don't mind doing it every day I'd say that, but seems like that might be a pain in the ass.

Probably about the same amount of work either way. I'll do daily updates to keep the interest going.

Regarding some of the stats—the league was very offense-heavy this season, with the average ERA around 4.50. A guy on Utica hit 72 HR and a few more had over 50. It's kind of hard to predict what the balance will be the first season of a new league. If we do another season I might adjust the offense downward a little to be more historically "normal."

That information would have been useful in revising my contract demands upwards.

Some additional news and notes before we start our postseason:

- Fun facts about our regular season results:
    - We had a winning record each month of the season, with August our best month at 22-7.
    - We had a better record on the road (55-26) than at home (46-35).
    - We were 83-43 against right-handed starters, but just 18-18 against lefties.
    - We went 18-25 in one-run games because we are not clutch and lack grit.
    - We led our conference in total runs scored and OPS.
    - Our Pythagorean Won/Loss was 105-57, meaning I cost us 4 wins with my bad managing. Sorry.

- Our AAA Burlington (NJ) Coats lost in their conference championship series, 4 games to 1 against the El Paso Spinners. Here's a recap of our minor league teams' performance this year:
    - Burlington (NJ) Coats (AAA) - 79-65, 1st place, lost in conference championship
    - Saint-Lambert Maroons (AA) - 49-78, 5th place
    - Atachafalaya Swamp Foxes (A) - 72-59, 2nd place, lost in divisional round
    - Victorville Swamp Donkeys (Short A) - 32-41, 4th place
    - Moscow (ID) Spammers (Rookie) - 29-32, 4th place

- MVP, Gold Glove, and Silver Slugger awards will be announced after the playoffs, as in real life. wlu_lax is a top candidate for MVP with his conference-leading 11.4 WAR, but he will face competition from Utica's Victor Espinoza, who hit .345 with 72 HR and 177 RBI.

- The game also has a "Custom Award" that I can manually award to anyone for any reason. Suggestions are welcome.

- In the preliminary wild-card games, Utica defeated Ajax while Shreveport defeated Yakima.

- Based on the results of last week's poll, our playoff rotation will be Sabo/Degen/Brian/TT. DSafetyGuy has graciously volunteered to come out of the bullpen. (Also he got less votes.)

- Our series opener against Wilmington will feature Sabo (17-5, 3.59) squaring off against Wilmington's ace Matt Michael (17-8, 2.72).

- In other news, I am excited to announce that our President has taken time out from his busy schedule to follow the playoffs, and will no doubt be gracing us with his insightful commentary:

Game 1 result will be posted tomorrow. Good luck!

After I voted for the chosen rotation, it was a tie between that and the option with me instead of TT. I posted that I should not be in the rotation and, in my next visit, I could see the writing on the wall (of poll results).

Time to go hang out in the bullpen and not talk to those guys.

The Burlington Sports Frogs took the first game of the Division Series in dramatic fashion today, topping the Wilmington Creditors 6-5 in an extra-inning walk-off win. Sports Frogs left fielder Gunpowder was selected player of the game, as he went 2-5 with 2 singles and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 16th inning, when Burlington right fielder Duff, facing Frank Delgado, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Sports Frogs the 6-5 win.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Duff said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Green Mountain Grounds in Burlington. The scheduled starters for the game are Mike Kozlowski for Wilmington and Degenerasian for Burlington.

Full box score is in a spoiler box below as the graphic is large:

Tomorrow's game features Degenerasian (12-7, 3.80) against Wilmington's Mike Kozlowski (7-6, 3.73)

This is what I love about October baseball...Duff's Sac fly ensures the media forgets about the SEVEN folks he left stranded during the previous 15 innings.

Brontoburglar wrote:why is Mr. Dickfaceaware leading off

We don't really have a conventional leadoff-type hitter (the closest was probably EnochRoot before he got hurt); Mister D is there kind of by default as he is neither good enough to hit in the middle of the lineup or bad enough to hit at the bottom. bapo! would get that spot against lefties.

Ryan wrote:Can/should Sabo come back for game 4 now?

We voted on a four-man rotation for the playoffs, so unless TT wants to volunteer to give up his spot to a guy who gave up 4 runs in 3 innings, that's still the plan.

Giff wrote:That would've been a fun game to watch.

The game actually creates an animated highlights package after every game. The graphics are pretty simplistic, but I can see about recording and posting the video here.

I actually double-checked after quoting only my tweet and, since I started the season finale and had one day off between games, I was probably the only guy unavailable for game one. I added the starting today for clarification.
