2017/18 Bensell Premier League Fantasy Football

Post by wlu_lax6 »

We did not have a tread for this year so I am starting one. Set a preliminary draft date & time. Email was sent via Yahoo (but have not faith in that it get to folks and get read v. spam). If you don't like the draft date & time, post it in the league message board so we can find a better one.

Also for those who find this interesting. This is year 14 of the Swamp FFL.

Solid throw back swamp folks. Year 1 had Diddy Does Detroit won it all over MichaelIrvin's Tailor. The winning team had Daunte Culpepper, Corey Dillion, Reuben Droughns, Trent Green, Erick Johnson, Julius Jones, Johnnie Morton, Randy Moss, Emmitt Smith, Javon Walker, Reggie Wayne, Jason Hanson, Jeff Wilkins, Denver and New England.

There is no way I'm making a draft at 8pm on Saturday of Labor Day weekend if it makes any difference.

Then in that case we know who is getting relegated.
My avatar corresponds on my place in the Swamp posting list with the all-time Home Run list. Number 45 is Paul Konerko with 439.

I am still willing to move it, but considering I emailed the league and posted here more than a week ago, feels like someone should have said something sooner.

If folks have a proposal for a better time, pipe up. Remember we have to accommodate 3 US time zones and one on the other side of the pond.

Does yahoo have a draft-from-phone option?

They have an app. Have never tried to use it for drafting. But bet you can do it via mobile browser

That draft went super fast. Of course, with only 4 of 14 actively participating, it was mostly auto-drafted.

That f’d up last play on MNF cost me the W against Sabo...which is far more important than the millions of dollars that changed hands on the cover.

I'm not in this league, but in my league, I can be anywhere from 3rd-9th depending on what happens next week. We have 9 people still with a theoretical shot at making playoffs. I am basically in a win and in as I have the most points in the league so would win tiebreakers, but there's a slight door for me to make playoffs with a loss because of that too.

I'm going to win this league this year. Book it.

I'm also going to fall out of the playoffs with what I thought was a pretty stacked team in the DSafe/Sabo/Syb league (apologies if there are other swampers in that league).

You named us all. I've been tipped off that the only thing keeping me out of the playoffs is you tying this week. I have to double check that.

Need some advice.

PPR league. I have to start two of

Devin Funchess
Tevin Coleman
Stefon Diggs

I think Funchess is a yes as my WR2, so it's down to the other two for my flex spot. Freeman coming back hurts coleman. Diggs hasn't been a huge target for a few weeks BUT my opponent is playing Case Keenum and in our league QB TD are only 4 points, so if Diggs can score it's a three point bonus touchdown in my favor.

Thoughts?

How many points do you need? Because Cincy players for fantasy against the Steelers is usually a pretty dire proposition.

I need him to outscore the Steeler's kicker by 3 points..so he probably needs 12-14 points. And this is in a matchup Im not part of...I am going to lose and need the other guy to lose to get the 6 seed based on high points.

I have Kroft and Steelers DST going against Mixon. As long as he doesn't outscore those two by more than five, I'm rooting for you!

His injury and the holding call on the Bryant kickoff return cost Sabo our match-up last night, but wasn't enough to keep him out of the playoffs (or get me in).

Mr "Book It" had almost less 300 points scored against him than I did over the course of the season. Go BSF.

Time to bring in the scrappy 3rd QB off the bench that I picked up a few weeks ago. Aaron Rodgers. It's Aaron Rodgers.

I'm sure you'll claim you're happy with how this worked out ($ vs no-$ league) but we all know better.
