I will spot you the 9.5 points. The Browns current all time worst run in NFL history (1-27! 4-38!) continues. I see them getting blown out in this one.

With all the changes made in the name of player safety over the past few years, one thing that the NFL should consider doing is banning players like Luke Kuechly for life. I don't care how badly he wants to keep playing, he's clearly a concussion case who is going to end up with CTE at best and severe brain damage at worst. Letting him play another down seems quite reckless, and the league should be willing to step in and save these guys from themselves.

How the hell would you ever implement or enforce that? It's one thing if individual teams' medical staffs won't clear someone to play (like what happened with Chris Bosh) but a decision from the league itself seems like a logistical nightmare.

Right? Imagine Patriot fans if the league decided to ban a Patriot player.

And Kuechly's family will sue in 10 years when he has CTE or worse. So pick your poison. In banning players like Kuechly the NFL can claim it's at least trying.

Or you could take a middle road of not lying and covering up medical information and letting them make an educated decision on future health risks.

Is that coverage enough? Like could I start up a baseball bat fighting league and cover myself by honestly informing all participants of the potential risks?

I don't know that you'd be covered legally, but I do think that if the pay was decent, you'd sign up enough players to start a league.

A healthy Fletcher Cox and competent receivers are making a world of difference for Philly.

Oh, and New England is probably going to sign Novorro Bowman. Of course.

I hope Bowman comes to NE. Probably moving Harvey Langhi, rookie OLDB/LB that was playing pretty well, to IR after his car was rear-ended last night.

Bowman thinks he is still an every down player. It's tough on a proud player to be told he isn't what he once was.

In other ex-Bears QB news, looks like the Brian Hoyer Era in SF lasted less than 5.5 games. The 49ers have a legit shot at 0-16 this year.

Reports are broken collar bone. I broke my collar bone way back when. 2 months before I could do anything important and there's no "setting" the bone either. Way back the docs used to use a "crazy 8" brace, but thankfully they don't anymore.

Also, McCourty's interception yielded a 6 yard loss on that 4th & 1. C'mon, dummy.

Before Jerloma chimes in, that was a BULLSHIT call by the refs. Should have been a Jets TD.

Good Job!

I mean, even with the 2nd half rally, Cutler finished at 4.6 yards per attempt. He also had what should have been a red zone INT nullified by a late hit on one of the TD drives.

I get that refs miss calls.

Except for my daughter, of course.

That was one of the all-time worst calls. And making it worse is that they used pretty much invisible "evidence" to overturn that call.

3rd and 2 at the Chiefs' 35 yard line and Pittsburgh calls a pass play. Incomplete. Then, on 4th and 2, the Steelers don't kick a long field goal. They don't go for it. They punt. They fucking punt. Note that Le'Veon Bell has 124 yards on 22 rushes at this point. Oh yeah, the ball bounced directly into the endzone. Net gain of 10 fucking yards (actually more, because the Chiefs got caught holding).

The Steelers are begging to lose this game.
