No I was asking about the other guy. We just saw the most vile level of male toxicity on display in the Senate today. Some folks take joy in others sorrow. I’m not that guy.

I’ve known guys like Kavanaugh my whole life. They recognize certain women are drawn to power, but they possess a fundamental character flaw where they’re willing to exploit weaker (or fairer) people to their own amusing ends.

Fuck that shit.

I’m pretty OK with myself. I’m not perfect but I’m OK. It took me a long time to get there. So I really don’t give a shit what a self-hating Philadelphian thinks. You guys get off on being dicks to people. It’s pathetic really. But it’s not my place to judge. God bless, dude. I’m sorry your dad didn’t love you or whatever. It’s almost certainly not your fault.

I'm not being a dick. I'm requesting that you stop complaining. It wasn't cool the first 12,398 times you've done it and it gets less tolerable each time.

Honestly, I get it, you are upset. Do something about it besides complaining with empty promises. Honestly, not being a dick. Just saying that its the same shit again and again.

I’ve been shaking with anger about maybe 50 or so times over the last two years under Trump. I’ve spent some time in therapy. My wife’s grandfather — whom
I dearly love— died yesterday and I had to cancel a business trip in St Louis and rent a car to drive to Detroit this morning to bury him. TTB trying to get under my skin is like swatting away a gnat. That probably gives him too much credit.

Laughing? That’s funny.

Would it be better if I yelled and kicked rocks? Would that be demonstrative enough for your liking? Or do I need to pray for the end of humanity as if that may result in any outcome?

Again, I walk away from both sides when the conversation starts. Proverbially, walking away - virtually of course.

This is a good safe place for venting.

I say things here that I wouldn't say in Facebook because I don;t want to risk offending work contacts with an opinion (not just Trump-related).

I thing most of us here understand the value of being able to vent to let off steam. And a lot of us were really, really, really agitated over what we saw yesterday.

I strongly support everything Pruitt said. This is the only place I can vent political frustrations, and I can do it in a dark, sarcastic way without worrying about offending anyone. Don't take that away from me! I'd have to start calling my parents to vent.

It disgusts me that the media refuses to call out Trump's bizarre fascination and self-admitted friendship with Kim Jong Un. This is a regime that has killed a baby and fed it to dogs for Christ's sake.

We all hate the "what if Obama" game, but Obama wouldn't have been impeached if he had said something as crazy as he "fell in love" with Kim, he would have been lynched.

The further irony is that any kind of displays of Christianity is what gets you thrown into a North Korean concentration camp, but yet Trump is such a good Christian and supported by good Christians.

Thing is, every time the handful of reporters ever tried to dig into this, Trump threatened to sue them.

NYTimes said, fuck you, we've got the goods AND the pocketbook, come on.

I'm not addressing anything in the immediate, this is all just sticks to dump on the fire prior to 2020.

One can only hope!

Last Friday night we were at a little party at a friend's home, and I bet a guy dinner on whether Trump would get re-elected in 2020 (I bet NO). This guy I bet against isn't a fan of Trump, he just figures that he'll weasel his way to victory, somehow.

(Of course, two years from now we'll probably forget we made the bet.)

I have the same bet also for dinner. I bet yes because the Democrats have nobody and can't figure out their policies. They'll destroy each other during the nomination. Trump has his base that'll rise again.

and rightly or wrongly, this Kavanaugh stuff has a lot of conservatives really pissed off.

I took that bet the day after the election. I don't think the midterms matter for the 2020 presidential race that much even if the GOP gets destroyed.
I'm betting Trump only loses if he's impeached or isn't allowed to run. Probably the same reason sancarlos' friend is betting.
