I read an interview with Dave from a month or a few ago and ... I don't think I buy this is the first they've heard of it. Maybe the specifics, but he quit the day the lawsuit was filed or something.

Yeah, the interview I read indicated they knew something was wrong that quite possibly would never be right enough again for him to rejoin the band. I can't imagine they knew the specifics. I mean, I don't want to anyway.

I'm interested to see if it's addressed tonight. I think Dave will bring it up.

Seems almost impossible to believe they didn't know atleast in general terms given they cut ties instantly, no?

Hasn't Morgan Freeman been fucking his step-granddaughter or someone like that for a decade? He's not a shocker here.

Yeah, there were other stories with reports of "not good" behavior -- for lack of a better word -- in the past. This one doesn't surprise me. It's almost the opposite really with some of these older Hollywood guys. I mean if similar stories came out about Warren Beatty or Jack Nicholson or Clint Eastwood would anyone be like "oh man, I did not see that one coming".

I've lost the ability to be surprised by anybody on this. If a person (a) has a dick, and (b) is in a position of power, there shouldn't be any surprise at all. Disappointment, anger, disgust, sure. But not surprise.

Especially in Hollywood. With so many massive yet fragile egos in need of stroking, a culture of male entitlement, and bevies of attractive young aspiring starlets, well...

Silver lining of that article is Alan Arkin coming across at least anecdotally as a good dude.

Also that fucking Mountain Dew commercial will probably get pulled.

Really bad timing for Vancouver transit and VISA as they rolled out Morgan Freeman voice overs this week as teasers for a June 4th release. And now have to pull them.

http://dailyhive.com/vancouver/morgan-f ... buses-2018
The implementation of the campaign, which officially begins June 4 and ends July 29, will be played on the public announcement systems of SkyTrain stations and the buses. It did not cost TransLink anything as this is a Visa-spearheaded advertising initiative.

Whoa. Holy crap. When I went to Twitter earlier I saw Felicia Day post about @Skydart not realizing that was his ex and this was the story. He's been everywhere in nerd-dom. And I've known him since what...? Singled Out on MTV?

And dude's married to Lydia Hearst, great granddaughter of William Randolph Hearst. His catalogued honeymoon through Japan with her seemed a lot like "look at me and my life" more than anything. Seemed kinda odd.

I'm still continually surprised, honestly. I have a), and I suppose have had b) in a limited way at one time or other relative to some people, and couldn't possibly imagine what possesses these blokes. I mean, I suppose I can, but I couldn't imagine it occurring to someone to take these sort of liberties with another person.

Hardwick sounds like a very shitty human.

And I understand if you have a night or two where you want to get one in and she doesn't. But you are a special brand of fucked up if you want your partner to just lay there limp, crying, while you do your business.

I don't know how much of this is true and how much isn't but I've listened to Hardwick talk for a lot of years on his pod. He has always seemed to be pretty open with his alcoholism and his relationships. His relationship with Chloe was fucked up on both ends and he's freely admitted that. I think there's more to it than what's in this article.

Not to victim blame here either, I'm sure there must be some rationale to what she's saying, but there was a lot of psych trauma there if I remember correctly. Also always found the age difference between them weird. I couldn't imagine being in my late 30s and dating a 21 year old. The difference in maturity has got to be off the charts.

Of course, he's claiming (feining?) innocence, and who knows, I suppose. But in what little I ever saw of him, he always struck me as an aggravating little prat...
