Blue Bottle is a solid changeup except out of the carton. The carton is gross, possibly just because you're drinking out of a paper carton.

I've given "House of Carbs" three episodes, and I am bored silly.

I also am waiting for Cousin Sal's gambling podcast to hit its stride. he's got to ditch his high school buddies and fast.

For two hours. Even I deleted that one.

Pretty sure he's trolling the subreddit named after him because his subreddit shits on him more than likes him.

That and it's also "Patriots Week" at The Ringer to complement their move from Medium to Chorus (Vox Media) today.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news to footy fans but AC Jimbo and Producer Ben have left Football Weekly and will do their own show with Iain Macintosh's production company called Totally Football show (first episode drops today). FW will keep everyone else but have handed hosting duties to the insufferable Max Rushen. I will miss listening to Barry Glendenning but Rushden's negatives far outweigh Barry's positives to my ears.

His new podcast "Totally Football" is exactly like the old Guardian one. Good panelists, very entertaining.

I don;t mind Max Rushden, and I love Barry Glendenning so I'm torn as to which one I will listen to on a regular basis.

Used to, but some time about a year ago I slowed and have now stopped. Kinda got tired of the schtick.

On today's BS Report, with Andy Samberg, Simmons states that both Game 6 of the 1975 World Series (The Carlton Fisk HR game) and the first episode were on the same night.

I thought "wait...that can't be right...I'm pretty sure that Game 6 was on a school night". So, did a little searching on Wikipedia, and sure enough:

Game 6: Tuesday, October 21, 1975
SNL Premiere: October 11, 1975

Yea, he's a much different person now. But I get old things dying hard.

I really enjoy his outlook on things. He gets a little over the top on him getting sober but it seems to have really helped him get his life on track, so I don't mind so much.

Although I had totally forgot he was on that show.

That is a great show that I picked up from a rec here, so... yeah.

I binged on it for a bit and took a break. Thanks for the reminder to check back in.

They are mostly younger than I am, so some of the topics I just can't relate. No big deal, just move on to the next ep. on the best holiday or whatever.

Can't remember how I found it, but the guy who does the "Welcome to the Night Vale" podcast has teamed up with John Darnelle, the singer/songwriter from The Mountain Goats, for a podcast called "I Only Listen To The Mountain Goats". The first season is breaking down the album "All Hail West Texas", song by song.

The first (and only episode so far) is the song "The Best Ever Death Metal Band In Denton".

Oh, and each episode will also have a cover version of the song discussed..this one time done by Laura Jane Grace, from the band Against Me!
