I knew Schalke were struggling after the restart last year, but I didn't realize it was this bad! Hopefully Juventus finalizes a deal to sign McKennie to save him from that mess.

My understanding is that it's a formality and it's set up this way (loan with option to buy) for accounting purposes.

I had the same understanding, just want to know it's done.

If you have seen the GQ pics of Pulisic...you have to ask why is PR team and such are not giving him better advice. Only thing missing is a water fountain.

His comments aren't much better either. He got dragged for the cross chain comment yesterday.

In 5-6 months? No, he'll still be best then. Lots have gotten better recently, but he's still #1.

I meant World Cup (2022) so not sure why I said Olympics, but it was more of a curiosity question if McKinnie could be as valuable or if Reyna could shoot past.

Those two could further narrow the gap, as could Dest and Adams, and maybe Steffen, if he got the chance.

So USA v. T&T on Sunday. Young and inexperienced team. Maybe a C-team not even the B-team at this point.

And, I'm sorry, wtf is this sentence:

“Faking a cancer story is not something I take lightly,” Rawlings, who thanked his friends and family for their support, told The Post.

Yeah, the cool thing is they picked the perfect night to maximize ratings.

(Mostly kidding.. who really cares given the team we're trotting out, but, still... wtf.)

At least they didn't schedule it for next Sunday.

If anyone is interested, US Soccer is doing some sort of pre-game huddle where you can go online and listed to Gregg talk.

I really hoped to see Dike, and he’ll probably get on, but I get the feeling that the US will dial it down for the rest of the game.

Or maybe not.

Staring to see the real benefits on MLS. Not necessarily the academy, but the league existing as something kids can chase. Project 2020 or whatever year that was and Generation Adidas are superior to the IMG setup that was our last plateau of improvement.

Also depth at the Goal position is tough. Goalies play forever and just block out up and coming talent at the wrong time. Whole generations get missed opportunities.

Pretty sure fox has the majority of the games. Away qualifiers are sold by the host country somehow knows. But busy year for usmnt. You have olympic qualifiers, nations cup, gold cup, and wc qualifiers.

ACL for Morris...guessing Swans not going to buy him now. Plus no olympics, gold cup, and fall WC Qualifiers.

Paramount Plus bought the Concacaf rights. Means away qualifiers will be on what used to be called CBS All Access next to Dora, Captain Picard and other folks climbing the mountain in the superbowl ad.

Why qualify in season or is it always in season somewhere.

It's always in season. For WC Qualifiers, they use the FIFA international dates, but with Olympics, the young studs in quality leagues usually aren't permitted by their clubs to play for Olympic teams. Kind of makes the tournament pointless IMO.

I think this is in addition to FoxSports coverage, right? Fox signed a 3 year deal in 2020 for US Soccer. I saw CBS All Access was showing the USWNT game, so I was thinking I couldn't watch, but the game was also on FS1. If this is the case, strange that Fox didn't make the deal exclusive, as I'm sure this will hurt their viewership.

Since 2022 is no longer a long way away, what's going on with WC qualifying?

The 2022 World Cup isn't in the summer, so qualies don't start until later this year. Qualifying will continue into summer 2022.

Good story on the tug-of-war between US Soccer and El Tri for Mexican-Americans who can play for either country.

We really haven't seen too much of a battle in the past, but I think this is going to be the story of the 20s. There is a LOT of young Latino talent as the MLS academies especially are really starting to bear fruit and you're liable to see Mexico as much as the United States benefit from it.
