They played not to lose, as if Blake Bortles with one timeout is a deadly scenario that must be avoided at all costs.

The RB fumbled the first time....that shit happens.

Chargers have turned losing close games into an art form.

They really have. They certainly should have won both of their first two games this year (blocked/missed field goals at the end), plus last week. They might even be a playoff team if things broke right for them. Seems like there have been lots of other games in recent history where they've taken losses out of the jaws of victory.

Gonna need the jaws of life to get that bank vault open far enough to give him the contract he'll ask for, so I don't think it'll ever happen.

Brady Quinn says Michigan is working on a "lifetime contract" for Harbaugh.

The article (by Michigan's SB Nation fansite) does a fairly good job explaining it, but I suspect this is probably an actual thing in function if not in name. Remember, Harbaugh's original 5-year deal will be up after 2019 and Michigan was always going to renew/extend it on Harbaugh's terms. This would finally put to death all of the idiotic rumors that Harbaugh is going to leave for XYZ job for awhile.

It will probably be something like a 10-year deal with a massive buyout for both Harbaugh and the university. The idea would be to prevent negative recruiting by ensuring recruits Harbaugh will be there for awhile, which he was likely going to be anyway. I suspect the buyout will decline over time (which is typical) and means he still might end up going to the NFL three or four years from now, especially if Michigan has some extended success during that time.
