With the first selection, I choose the draft itself. Draftception.

Okay, then why would you pick a Coldplay album at 1.1? This isn't at all like the Helen Mirren thing.

A draft of albums? Yeah I’m down with that.

Didn’t we do a draft of all-star musicians to form a band once? Like 12 or so years ago? I’m pretty sure that’s 120 in internet years though..

Would there be categories, or just leave it up to a full range? Also goes without saying, but no greatest hits or compilation albums, right?

Wide open, no category limitations. First person to try a greatest hits or live album gets kicked out.

Trades? Like could I drop off the record hints to Peter King that I'm interested in taking a shitty album by a great band just to get a great trade offer from a desperate super fan?

I see we've been added!

I'd be tempted to do a list of LPs that employ an acceptable usage of auto-tune (I've yet to come across one, but I suppose that'd be a rabbit hole I'd jump into in an effort to better mankind)...

Better clarify if permutations of an artist's name is considered a different band (i.e. Jimi Hendrix vs. Jimi Hendrix Experience, etc.).

I think we'd err on the side as "counts as one band" to avoid some dipshitty "two of the four members had died so this is really a different band" nonsense. Ryan Adams and Ryan Adams + the Cardinals would all be the same.
