Seeing Dusty wrestle when I was a kid was actually one of the first things that clued me into the fact that WWF wasn't real. Similar to how it became impossible to suspend disbelief that Santa could visit every home in the world in one night, it was impossible to believe that a fat, middle-aged Dusty Rhodes could hang with young, muscle-bound studs in a wrestling ring.

I was listening to NPR the other day and they had a story about the country music song "I Drive Your Truck." Holy crap, I damn near had to pull over.

My buddy Dusty just Top 8'ed a Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour.

That's a big deal in the Nerd Land I sometimes inhabit.

ETA

Dammit. He lost in the finals. But he still took home $20,000 and an invite to Dublin for another Pro Tour. Pretty awesome.

I'm not watching that because (1) he apparently talks a lot about his kids and (2) I like disliking Stuart Scott.

That dog is an interesting contrast to my dog who I'm pretty sure doesn't like living with other people and would probably let me just lay there if he didn't need food or to go outside at that moment.

Lane DeGregory will make you cry. Go read "The Girl in the Window", her coverage of Davion Young, "Mr. Newton", "Miss Teen America finds freedom", etc. She's an exceptional writer.
