I decided a while back not to renew Tony Fallen because 1) He wasn't that good at his job and 2) He clashed with a number of players, including virtual wlu_lax. Zimmerman I think just wasn't that good either. I'll be hiring new guys for each job during the offseason.

So with 18 votes in, Gunpowder holds a narrow lead over wlu_lax for the Burlington MVP. Get your votes in soon if you haven't yet. Tomorrow morning I'll put up a similar poll for Holland.

With the votes tallied, Gunpowder edged out wlu_lax to win the Burlington Sports Frogs' Unknown Award as the team MVP for 2018.

New poll up for the Holland side of things.

duff is definitely not going to show up on random message boards to argue that he should be the MVP based on his homers and RBI and that WAR is a bullshit nerd stat.

If you can figure out a way to get chicks out of this then by all means pitter patter...

Rams Fanny has a clear lead, but going to bump in case anyone missed it. Had quite a few more votes on the Burlington poll at the same time yesterday...blatant Lake Champlain Coast bias.

A few final updates to wrap things up for this year:

Season-End Awards:

- Gunpowder won the Unknown Award as the team MVP for Burlington as voted by his peers.

- Rams Fanny won the Unknown Award as the team MVP for Holland as voted by his peers.

- Gunpowder finished third in the Bensell Conference Team MVP voting, behind Utica's Victor Espinoza and Ajax's Joe K.

- Rams Fanny won the Shrew Conference Rookie of the Year Award. Congratulations!

- Gunpowder and Sabo captured the Bensell Conference Silver Slugger Awards at their respective positions. Sabo, who hit .337 as a pitcher, is a repeat winner from last season.

Site pages are updated with the final stats and standings if you'd like to take a look:
- League Home
- Burlington Sports Frogs Team Home Page
- Holland Oats Team Home Page

Will do some minor housekeeping with filling staff vacancies, etc., but otherwise that's about it for the season. Thanks everyone for playing and keeping the banter going here. See you next year(?)

Good to see I'm maintaining the same batting average I had in tee ball.

I know I still owe (?) you guys a RimWorld update, but will see about continuing this for a new season, if there's interest.

I'd love to se a 2019 OOTP season, but it's really up to you since you're the one making the time commitment.

Will probably cut back a little on the regular updates this season, either less frequently or not as much in the weekly posts, as some of the content was pretty time-consuming to put together. Would still plan to do the website upload with the full detail for those who want to dive deeper.
