I played Blackjack at a table for the first time in my life Saturday night. I was up $75 and ran away like a bitch. Not sure if that makes me a good gambler or a shitty one.

Although I wish I was playing craps so when I told that story I could have said "That's just how I roll." I feel like it would have been clever and indicative of my good-humored nature.

Any time you walk away a winner, that's a good gambling story. What stakes were you playing? $5? $10?

Hey guys in Indiana and NJ...take advantage of this one:

(If Rory makes a single birdie at the PLayers championship you can turn $5 in $150. I'm sure there's some kind of playthrough requirement but that's easy money.)

ETA: It looks like it's a new user sign up, but you can withdraw the money if you win.

Additional edit: so it does look like you have to bet the 150 but then you can take out whatever you win with those bets.

You probably have to rollover that bonus 20x. 3000 to get that 150 out.

This is how bookies get you.

I thought the same but the article linked seems to say that it's just the $150 that you have to bet. It does seem too good to be true.

Did he make a birdie before they made them leave? I wonder how all that went.

You could probably offer the underdogs $50 each to make sure they lost and still be way up.

I almost never do this, but you guys can share my weekend sweat. I put $5 on Jhonny Vegas at 250 to 1 to win the PGA Tour event this week and he's three strokes back heading into the weekend.

Well, he goes by Jhonathan and is Colombian so Vegas is a not unheard of surname in Latin America. I only picked him because he seems to randomly have an awesome tournament every couple of years and figured why not now. Put up a 63 today.

$20 minimum wager, but I'd split it with you if you wanted to wager less.
