Sugar cookies are the best cookies because they are the closest to just eating raw dough, which most people would rather do but won't admit.

On two levels: (1) sugar cookies aren't anywhere near the best cookies and (2) the best cookies, regardless of type, are crispy around the edges.

Have you ventured over the border(s) to this place yet? Cookie menu changes regularly, and they're really good.

And are we just ignoring the weak-ass end portion of carwash's take where he suggests people are scared to admit they like cookie dough? There are cookie dough stores! Unless he's suggesting hipsters are loathe to admit that they love the now too conventionally popular cookie dough.

Not nearly my favourite cookies, just rounds and rounds and rounds ahead of Oreos.

While by no means a favourite, Oatmeal Raisin isn't so bad.

Vastly preferable to the chemical stew that is an Oreo.

I don't mind oatmeal raisin. I think the hate comes from the view from a distance as a chocolate chip cookie and then disappointment.

A top 5 for me is a family favourite that I've seen in coffee shops and the like called monster cookies that are oatmeal and peanut butter based with M&Ms. Greatness. So perhaps its really the damn raisins.

OK, fuck you guys for piling on my cookie take when far more egregious things have been posted here, like "fake maple syrup is better than real" and "pineapple should be allowed within a 30-mile radius of a pizza."

I should have gone with a safer cookie take, such as: Thin Mints are only like the 4th or 5th best Girl Scout Cookies.

The chocolate coconut ones (Samoas?) are the best, and I don't usually like coconut.

Trefoils are arguably as good as Thin Mints. The only ones Thin Mints are clearly better than are the "healthy" ones that are basically dirt clods with powdered sugar.

It's far from my favorite cookie, but I don't get the whole oatmeal raisin hate. Just sprinkle a dash of salt on them and they're gold.

1 Tagalongs
2 Frozen Thin Mints
3 Do si dos
4 Room Temp Mints
5 why bother

Chocolate mint cookies are the equivalent of cantaloupe/honeydew in my book. Throw them away, burn the box and salt the ground so nothing like them ever grows again.

But Chocolate/Orange is better.
