It's also extremely common. Probably about 20 percent of Group of Five QBs are grad transfers from a Power Five school.

Yeah but usually they get beat in the spring or training camp or see that they've been recruited over or whatever.

Shit. I missed that he was graduating. I thought he took over right after watson as a freshman. My bad. Not as egregious.

I'm not sure anyone thinks he's a good X's and O's guy, but he's a lights out recruiter and seems to hire good staff. That would put him in the upper tier for college coaches. I wouldn't trade him for any other coach in the Big Ten right now.

We went home and watched the game after doing some tailgating and checking out the gameday set. The wife and kids ended up being on TV from a recorded segment during tailgating. From the number of texts she got there were not many PSU fans that didn't watch that game.

Colorado at #21 in the top 25 poll. They are undefeated but really haven't played anybody yet. I have no doubt that they'll get smoked as soon as they play a good team. But, it's fun for now.

It still makes sense to wonder why even after noticing the author. Does he have some young UM grad running his account and forgetting to switch over in tweedeck?

No clear direct connection, but:

1) Michigan has a decent-sized Iranian expat community.
2) UofM has a decent-sized Iranian student cohort and a specific area of study in the Department of Near Eastern Studies

My pops, being originally from Missouri, came down to Alabama last week and he and I went to the game in Tuscaloosa. Always a good time, and was glad to hear that universally the Mizzou fans we talked to said they were treated exceptionally well. Dad has stayed all week, and Friday we drive up to Knoxville to watch Alabama at UT. Somehow I doubt we get the same courtesy. I’ve never been to a game at Neyland, so am looking forward to it. Really hoping that Bama defense plays better though, as I can only handle so many Rocky Tops.

Neyland is such a frigging ugly stadium.

And I walked into Bryant Denny wearing a UK shirt when they weren't even playing Bama and was treated great.

Mulligan and I have gone to Neyland twice for Ohio-Tennessee games, and we were treated great both times. The first time, as soon as we parked our car, some Tennessee fans walked right up to us and were super friendly and told us where to walk to the stadium. It's one of the nicest receptions as an away fan I've ever had (UK football was great, too).

But yes, Neyland is very ugly, and Rocky Top will be an earworm that will take a while to get out.

Read an article in The Athletic that said maybe two players on Purdue could start for tOSU. And they won by 29. With that talent differential, that looks like a coaching issue.

1. Jeff Brohm could be a hot commodity for a bigger job.
2. Urban Meyer probably wishes he was suspended yesterday.

Purdue also had a unifying emotional force aside from the national spotlight (Tyler Trent). Quite possibly one of the easiest motivational speeches of Brohm's career last night.

Brohm is absolutely going to get an elite job soon. Maybe not after this season but soon. I can’t figure out how Purdue got not only beaten but outcoached by Eastern Michigan then stomps tOSU. Chris Creighton at EMU is a guy who absolutely is going to get a Power 5 job this offseason

Neyland is a getting a facelift on the outside, and where they’ve funushed it looks good. Terrible elsewhere though. We had a great time and we’re treated fine. I actually wanted to punch a bammer fan behind us who was being a total dick. He get a lot of ‘go fuck yourself’s but he was the only fan I saw that received any anger.

I’ve been there multiple times now, so can state unreservedly that Knoxville is a great town. Outside of that awful orange color everywhere, I’d live there in a heartbeat.

MI finally turns a corner. Now a bye week and PSU coming to the big house on the end of it.

The defense is just incredible. The folks "in the know" said all along, give Don Brown 3 full years to recruit and coach, and you'll be in business.

But this shit? This is ridiculous. MSU had 94 yards. That's some biblical shit. I think against the Alabamas and Clemsons it would be a fair fight, and tOSU will certainly get its shit together(?).

I don't know what happened pre-game, exactly, but I do wish the Little Brother shit would go away. You win a game against MSU, like you were supposed to do, just move on to the next. Little Brother sure is in your dome if you have to start calling them Little Brother.

BTW, fuck Michigan State.

They do this ridiculous thing where the lock arms and walk the full length of the field. They usually do this before the other team is out there, but on Saturday they came out 10 minutes late, with a handful of MI players out there.

So, all the footage you see of Devin Bush throwing a tantrum and scraping up the Sparty logo? Yeah, that's because a few seconds earlier he was jostled and fucked with physically. Along with the other MI guys on the field.

And I know there's no winning when it comes to this stuff, but, again, fuck MSU and their rape-enabling culture. Fucking assholes.

Syracuse is bowl eligible before Halloween. This feels weird.

I was considering a "since..." but I don't want to look it up. First bowl in five seasons and the last time, the sixth win was secured on the last play of the regular season.
