I contend there is no such thing as an irrational obsession with Kate Beckinsale. She very well might be the hottest woman ever.

Yup.

Can confirm Kenny Daneyko has great taste in Mexican food.

If you're a dear FBBF then you saw pics. I decided to say hi to him on the way out of the restaurant and did so by asking if he used to frequent the place in another North Jersey town, owned by the same family who owned the place we were dining in, when the Devils used to practice in that same town (he didn't). He said hi to the kids (my youngest sold me out and said she was a Devils fan) and that was it, but then I had to run back into the restaurant to grab an open bottle of wine we left behind, and he stopped me and said he and his companion were about to leave if the kids wanted a picture.

So outside the restaurant he took a pic with the kids, my wife and mrs cerrano, and then one with me and my 2017 Stanley Cup champs t-shirt (he is super happy for Bill Guerin). Really nice guy.

Yesterday at work, this guy was walking around with a film crew:

Image

My first thought was "Is Daft Punk shooting a new video here?". But, it turns out its for a show on Viceland called "Mister Tachyon". The premise is:

The series follows fictional character Mister Tachyon, born invisible due to his scientist father’s experiments. In a quest to reverse his invisibility, Mister Tachyon studies the fringes of science searching for a cure. From examining whether the earth’s magnetic field is secretly shaping our lives, to explorations around the power of thoughts to change the biology of people, Mister Tachyon tackles a range of questions by conducting real experiments with real people to determine if there’s any truth to the strangest and most controversial topics in science today.

Also, from a couple of weeks ago, can confirm that Brad Evans (of the Sounders) likes good Mexican food with dark beer, and had no interest in watching the MLS All-Star game.

Tomorrow the cast of the new NBC show The Brave are doing a USO tour thingy on base. I get to do a meet and greet and see a private screening of the show with some other folks. I'll get to meet Anne Heche and these fine folks:

Should he be there, you should tell Hadi Tabbal that you loved him as "Molesting Taxi Driver" in "Circumstance".

Thanks, IMDB.

He will be!

The entire main cast will be. Their instagram just didn't have a photo with all 8 people, unfortunately.

I let Hadi know that he was excellent in his role.

He responded "Did you actually see that movie!?"

And when I took a pic with him and my girlfriend I said "Just realize we aren't in a cab right now." Laughs all around.

Also, Natacha and Sofia...yes, please. The former is half Irish, quarter Lebanese, quarter French and has a London accent. But both are hot.

Double.
1.) Just learned that David Simon is a member of the synagogue that I am a member of. Apparently his mom was the lunch helper for my mom when she taught in Baltimore City Schools (early 70s). Then she became the school librarian
2.) I just spoke to the keynote speaker at a fixed income conference about some work that I am doing and gave him my business card. I doubt that Tom Ricketts will be sending me an email or call anytime soon. (His keynote is all about using big data and advanced technology with the Cubs).

That is Cal. Cal, BJ Surhoff and Mike Bordick did a Facebook live event with a local radio station to benefit Pathfinders for Autism. They were discussing the 1997 season.

Stipe Miocic, the UFC heavyweight champion, goes to my chiropractor. I learned this last week when I saw him getting a massage, but it was reinforced this morning when he was on the massage table next to me.

He's not as big of a guy as I expected. Looking at him, you wouldn't think he's a professional fighter but just some athletic softball player. I didn't talk to him, but he was very chatty with all of the massage therapists.

A friend's dad passed away last week - I read in his obituary that he worked as an usher at various NYC sports venues back in the day.

He was in the building for Willis Reed's appearance in Game 7 of the 1970 NBA Finals.

I only wish I had known that before he died, dammit.

John Lynch was out for an early morning jog with what appeared to be a couple of co-workers on the jogging/biking trail near Levi's Stadium today. They passed me twice (they turned around and were coming back) and he said, "Morning." when I realized someone was almost right behind me and turned around.

If I see them tomorrow, I might have to ask him if he had any interest in Trubisky at #2 or if he was just super-happy to fleece the more-than-willing Bears for the picks.

No, a show taking place at the old NASA base up the 101. Staying at the Hyatt with a view of Levi's Stadium, though, for the fourth time in 2+ years.

"up the 101". Sheesh, can't we get the L.A. out of you? Up here we just say, "up 101".

And, despite what you posted in the Swamp Wrestling thread, I don't feel inclined to break a chair over your head when I see you tomorrow.

17 years in LA. Only place longer was Ohio, so my other option was to call it "route 101".

That was my benchmark, but now that I think of it, when I'm saying the word in a non specific sense ("I took another route"), I sometimes use the "rout" pronunciation.

This is going to bug me now.
