They gave the MVP to the wrong guy. Price threw 13.2 IP at a sub 2.00 ERA clip, winning two games. That’s 25.3% of the total innings pitched against the Dodgers in the World Series.

I think he deserved it more. Pearce would’ve had to hit .500 along with his 3 HRs to justify winning it over him...

I agree Price deserved it. But the notoriously thin-skinned baseball media is going to side every time with the unassuming journeyman over the star with the huge contract who has often been an asshole to the media.

Yankee titles since 1965 are '77, '78, '96, '98, '99, '00, '09.

The Yankees won WS titles in '61 and '62 (and losing them in '60, '63 & '64).

Kind of off the subject, but from 1921 through 1964, the Yankees won the AL pennant 2/3 of the time. (29 times in 44 years). Freakin’ amazing.
