Swamp Travel Guide: UK in March

Post by govmentchedda »

Not the Wildcats, AB.

Headed to blimey next March, and we're definitely spending a majority of our time in London and Edinburgh, but we're considering a 3rd location.

Possible 3rd locations: York, Oxford, Cambridge, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Cotswolds, Lake District, Bath.

Caveats - I don't think I want to drive anywhere. There will be 2 couples, one of the four of us is a vegetarian, three of the four of us are runners.

Any suggestions re: the possible 3rd locations listed above, or something else I haven't thought of?

Been to York and Cambridge and liked them both.

Love Scotland - a train ride to the west coast and then a ferry ride to the islands is just amazing. (You can stay in Oban, a quaint little town)

I hear the beaches of Blackpool are nice that time of year.

Blackpool is truly one of the strangest places I have ever been. This was like 25 years ago, so it may have changed, but it was the tackiest place imaginable. and a hell of a lot of fun.
