Johnnie wrote: Tue Dec 04, 2018 8:01 am Saluting is a military thing. Enlisted people are required to initiate the salute to officers and they salute back.

A while back they allowed civilians who were once military to salute the flag during the national anthem at spring events.

I think it was some time during Reagan's term where he saluted back as a kind gesture getting off of the plane or helicopter and then it stuck as commonplace.

Basically, if you've never been told to salute or haven't been properly shown how, don't do it.
So Trump's doing it while technically improper is not a big deal?

Depends, it was done to Obama.

Depends. A President saluting while holding a coffee cup is an impeachable offense and an affront to all servicemen.

But saluting while holding a dog is perfectly acceptable.

Hey, remember Dan Quayle? Remember when he spelled "potato" wrong? Remember when everyone thought the possibility of him becoming President was the worst-case scenario for America?

His wife staring at Melanie and Drumpf was fantastic. Just a look of “how the f did he end up in the White House”?

Some of the salutes by cadets and midshipmen don’t look right.

The Timothy news is very cool story. Also made me wonder if the organization was on the up and up or a really well done scam.of an old man.

If he doesn't, you're gonna regret this!

Who is he tied with at the moment?
