Chiefs might use all their drafts picks next year on the secondary.

Chiefs corners = not terrible

Chiefs safeties in Berry's absence = terrible

Chiefs edge rushers = very good

Chiefs interior linemen = Chris Jones is chasing an NFL record

Chiefs middle linebackers = could be better!

ETA: Fully believe they win that game late if Berry is on the field. But understand why he didn't play in the second half, especially if he was on a snap count and they didn't want to space those snaps out.

Should probably downgrade the corners from not terrible if Fuller is out for an extended period of time with that wrist injury he suffered last night.

Also, the full-fledged despair from a loud section of the fanbase is really ridiculous. The Chiefs should absolutely not have blown a 14-point lead late, but winning 10-straight games against an opponent isn't exactly probable either. And this is a team that's lost three games by a combined seven points to teams that are 31-9.

Of course, the Chiefs are staring at a very real possibility of the No. 5 seed now unless the Ravens or Broncos come through. The trip to Seattle next Sunday night is tough. But that's what happens when the two (of the three) best teams in the conference are in the same division. And anyway, the same section of the fanbase melting down over the potential loss of homefield advantage is the same section that would freak out about the Chiefs being cursed at home for not winning a home playoff game since the early 90s.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The shocking thing about their pass defence is that the line is playing really well. Strange to see a team that can rush the passer that well playing the pass so poorly.

Chiefs are actually only ninth in sack rate. Their sack totals are inflated because teams are having to throw the ball against them a lot. Which then shows that the safeties are bad (even though the rush defense is the worst in the league)

is it hyperbole to say beating a 4-9 jets team on saturday afternoon as 7 pt favorites might easily be one of the ten biggest wins in franchise history? they bounced back from the win streak being snapped, got to 10 wins for the second time ever, and put themselves in position to possibly clinch the division this weekend.

When Gregg Williams called that time out in the last minute, it really seemed like the start of a typically untypical and heartbreaking loss by the Browns who have won as many games in the last 5 weeks as they won from 2015-2017.

I'd imagine that the Broncos will be looking for a new coach and a QB during the offseason.

They'd be a lot better off having someone other than John Elway do it. Brock Osweiler, Zac Dysert, Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, and Chad Kelly are QBs he has drafted and he's also the guy who brought in Case Keenum (and brought Osweiler back).

Watching the Giants-Titans for pool reasons, and I don;t know what is worse, the Giants playcalling (Manning can't throw, it is absolutely pouring so the receivers are dropping things, and Barkley is simply not getting the ball) or Bruce Arians in the booth.

This is the first time I have heard him and it is a grisly experience.

Can someone explain to me why GB was allowed to attempt final FG? Rodgers sacked, GB had no TOs, pen against GB which was declined, and :15 sec on clock. Oh, and it was 3rd down and no spike. Chicago did not call TO.

NE defender screened the PIT WR with his hands, with his back to the ball and made contact with the player.

No foul.

Used to be interference.

Clock doesn't start until the snap after penalty enforcements in the final two minutes of the 1st half and final five minutes of the 2nd half, even if the penalty is declined.

I’m as die-hard an Eagles fan you’ll find. I’ve probably seen at least 90% of their relevant games over the last 30 years, which includes 7 years out of the Philly tv market for higher ed.

Having said that, if this gets out of hand tonight I’m firing up the mid-season finale of Riverdale on my DVR with no guilt.

As a Pats fan I expect no sympathy and literally any criticism I have for things that go against my team is whining, but maaaannnnn the majority of those penalties were absolute horseshit.

Yeah that holding was nonexistent on the last drive. Still away so maybe to be expected. Had a chance but gave up too many yards on Pittsburgh's last drive.

I keep telling myself they're saving their good plays for the playoffs, but between the drops, pre-whistle penalties, and a defense that only stops the run when the opposing coach decides to throw, it's not looking good.

edit: and sucking in the redzone the last few games..can't forget that.

I say this with no malice (although it's hard to be objective), but the Pats have started the downward slide.

No one can convince me that Brady is in the top 5 this year. It had to happen eventually...

Then it’s completely non-sensical not to take the penalty and necessitate a 10 sec runoff

Honestly, no not really. That's a tough game even without considering the impact. I almost bet on the Jets +7.5 (yeah I know I would have won) but it ain't easy to go 2,000 miles east and play a night game in the NFL.

I was surprised there was no call there but I also don't think you should be rewarded for underthrowing deep balls. The guy riding Vance McDonald into the endzone was a different story, though. And of course Patriots Twitter is trying to suss out a conspiracy theory the one time penalties go against them.

Yeah like half of them weren't subjective.

The defensive holding call was total BS (though it also stopped the clock), the hold at the goal line was weak, and so was the PI against Eli Rogers.

But they also got away with a ton of DB holds outside of those plays. Gilmore basically horsecollared AB down the sideline.

They also got away with a fumble in eerily sleazy fashion not unlike the Brady fumble in the AFCC two years ago.

"Oh you'd like to challenge that play? Sorry...we didn't mean down by contact, we meant forward progress was stopped."

(Cut to replay so Romo can explain how this is the correct call)

"Now listen to the whistle here."

(Ball clearly gets ripped out prior to whistle. Cut away...never mention it again)

I wasn't predicting an interception and return, but I thought they should have gone for 1. This is a good type of game to have a 2 field goal lead.

6 points is one of the worst leads to have late in a game. You for real have a better chance statistically at winning if you are up 3.
