I have no idea why refs blew the whistle on that play. Why not let the play run its course and then make a ruling? Isn’t replay supposed to help with this kind of thing?

im not being sarcastic here....do they have that option? im stoned out of my mind so let me try to make this make sense. if the incentive is in the players contract that he must do x to get y money and he doesnt do X then can the team say fuck it and be nice and do it anyway? how does shit like that impact the salary cap? i dont know maybe im an idiot and am misunderstanding all of this
