There is a piece on the Athletic about him (Dell Loy Hansen). Suffice it to say the name "Donald Sterling" appears a few times in the piece.

Andy Williams called Dell Loy a “fucking racist” today.

(Dell Loy is also my firm’s landlord. He’s an asshole in that capacity too.)

Edit: This is that Athletic article.

They don’t all look the same, but they do kind of all look the same. It probably sucks for non-racists who have that same vibe.

1. DC United can't stay healthy and they are not good to begin with.
2.) They are playing a 16 (Nyeman)and 17 (Paredes) old today. The 17 year old is really good.
3.) Hamid has been out the last 2 games for personal reasons. HMMMM. The drop off between Hamid and Seitz is very noticeable.
4.) DC lost flores to an ACL in training, another guy out with a broken face (4-6 weeks), captain Birmbaum out
5.) absolutely no threat to score

and they still have Ben Olsen as the coach..circumstances keep giving DC a reason not to fire him. Well that and the ownership is cheap.

.. except against RBNY who let their 'stars' go without replacing them with similar quality.. this is a glorified USL side, getting paid crap money, even for MLS.. that was yet another crap game.

Well firing Aramas will solve that issue.

yeah.. now to find a new ten, a nine and and 11. oh and a six.

can't win w this payroll. Armas was the wrong guy to begin with.. any winning they do this year is pure overachievement.
i'll support the team, and will go back to the stadium eventually, but i've cancelled my tickets (happening in droves if FB is right)

Inter Miami agreed to terms wtih Gonzalo Higuain. I thought DC United had some discovery rights on him (his brother plays for DC). Hoping DC gets something good for those rights....you know MLS never f's around with that stuff to make a transfer happen.

Also realizing that DC play RB again this weekend. The regional game schedule is funny.

Guess the rest of the schedule just got released and Canadian clubs are now south of the border and staying there this month.

St.Louis sold 30,000 season ticket deposits within 15 minutes and 50K in the first 24 hours. That is a good first step.

What has happened to LAFC? One of the best teams last year, and now they look like a clown show. Sounders beat them 3-0 last night, and it could have been double that.

So right in the middle of the first half of the DC @ Nashville game. Sprinklers go off.

Looks like they took out their frustration on Vancouver last night. Went to turn a game on ESPN+ last night and it was already 4-0 14' in.

Steve Birnbaum starting for DC United tonight. Folks at both the Greater Washington Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame probably not so excited. Ben Olsen on the other hand probably happy he is not in the position of relying on Pines in central defense because a bad result could mean DC United starts the Jewish New Year with a new gaffer.

So DC United just put.on a player not on the game day roster on the field. Red had to call the league office to figure out what to do.

Cincinnati really plays deep, park the bus, and counter attack soccer. Really boring and strange to see this DC United team just dominating position and control of the game. Also Bobby Edwards gave up a howler worse than the one I botched yesterday morning.

They laid off 20% of their full time staff yesterday (or maybe the day before). MLS' website was a great source. Good video stuff, interesting articles, etc. Hope that does not take a big hit. I like Wiebe's stuff but am just not a Charlie Davies as an analyst fan.

San Jose became the first team in an MLS game to not make a penalty kick in a shootout vs. SKC yesterday and just the second MLS team to not make a penalty kick in a shootout (Chicago in 2010 vs. Charleston in a US Open Cup game)

Tim Melia was the goalie in both of those games.

Team that still employs Altidore and Bradley and Omar Gonzalez gets bounced by an expansion team

Bruce is in the process of knocking out the regular season champs. Remind me why they gave out a Supporters Shield this year?

Carlos Vela with one of the weaker efforts at a PK. How often to you see a keeper just stand there and catch it?

With Lodero, Ruidiaz, and Jordan Morris up top, the Sounders are going to be a tough out.

So Greg Vanney steps down as Toronto FC Coach. New opportunity? Forced out? Mutual agreement it was time for a change?

DC United has been linked to one of Man City's assistants.

That early save by Minnesota's (ha, do people refer to them as MUFC, just realized that) keeper was big. Who knows!

Austin FC expansion draft today. They picked up a bunch of players on Sunday (deals probably made before but announced after MLS cup blackout period). Guessing those deals had some criteria about not taking another player in the expansion draft.
