And there you go.

I'm done speculating about these calls. They didn't even look at one the other day that looked.

In the old, even is on days, that is a goal. Given that any part of the body seems to be enough for offsides, that seemed like a correct reversal.

Someone is also gonna have to explain to me why the US seems to quit attacking in the second half with a lead.

Exactly, and then didn't even VAR that one.

Again, the way they've been calling and reviewing, that seemed like the "correct" call.

I hate to say this guys, but maybe Hope Solo was right. Seems like the US might win this game/tournament in spite of Ellis not because of her.

I literally said that before France on here.

She just doesn't adjust very well and the only reason we've seen a change at all is due to injury (both with Rapinoe and just now in game.)

I mean... It's technically the right call.

But that call isn't even getting a second thought if that same play happens in the corner or the middle of the field.

And England can officially SHUT THE FUCK UP now. You had your chance. Fuck off.

Watching the replay, as I suspected, she absolutely left to that side "early"... She's moving as the shot is being taken. You pretty much have to.

The US going into time-wasting mode without even attempting to put the ball in a scoring position with 10+ minutes left is beyond frustrating. Especially a man up. There's nothing wrong with maintaining possession and moving the ball around.

Jesus Citgo... Your takes are not strong right now. :D

That's a studs up tackle, over the ball. Straight red on probably 25 percent of the time (roughly). ABSOLUTELY a yellow card. Not the refs fault that women went into that tackle like that. She could've a) let it go and stay on your feet, or b) if you want to slide go in on your side so you don't open the possibility of the studs coming up (you lay out and your foot is low to the ground, went in like a baseball slide.)

Yeah, it worked against FRA, but I sure don't like it. I think they went into it prematurely.

But almost every game I've watched (and I mentioned this early in the tournament) there has been 5-7 minutes of added time. They should've known.

Again, this is (IMO) an Ellis thing.

Wow, just reminded of ENG's historic issues of not converting PKs.

And, TBH, while a decent save... That was a pretty shitty shot.

If a goalie mishandles it...she smothered it on a save, then it went across the goal line as she was gathering it, shouldn't it be a corner?

EDIT: Looks like it had already crossed the goal line before the shot is why they got a goal kick.

That big-butted goalie just stole one from Sweden. Fingernail save, tipping it enough that it hit the post. Brilliant stuff.
