Loved him when I was a kid, but honestly first thought is I thought he had already passed. RIP.

Watched and enjoyed, a ton of Burnett, Conway, and Korman, as a kid.

One of those rare performers who everyone liked.

And don;t forget - the voice of Barnacle Boy!

Ooof. This is meant as no disrespect to anyone, but there are certain celeb deaths that I note with interest and move on. Then there's one like this that's more like a literal gut punch. Maybe more like a nut tap. More startling than painful, but causes a moment of pause regardless.

I guess this shows my age, but I thought he was way funnier in his role as Ensign Parker on McHale’s Navy than anything he did after that.

I hated that show. I only got it as reruns in the 70s, but I just didn't find the humor as a little kid. I might try to see if it's on streaming or something, because it gets great reviews from folks that watched it when it aired. I mean, I loved Hogan's Heroes, so I don't know why I never got into this one.

I remember my parents would be laughing...Tears of laughter. But I was probably suffering object permanence issues and couldn't put together what was happening on the TV, or that it really mattered. But watching that just now, you can see where they'd have lost their shit watching it on the tube.

How did Conway not break there? Korman is a Fallonesque mess.

I have no idea. Maybe because he had to mimic having a numb hand kept him focused/distracted from laughing. But yeah, that's laugh-out-loud stuff there.
