That's insane. Completely bonkers.

That's the type of thing you could try doing on the training ground and probably take months to achieve, if ever.

(And believe me, that's exactly the type of shit you get up to. But it's usually as "simple" as hit the crossbar from a set piece, then try to volley the rebound home out of the air or on one bounce. Scissor/bicycle kick to the the bar is random enough, volleying the rebound in and fashion is nuts.)

I feel bad for the defender who ducked his head out of the way only for the goal to go viral.

Last defender should've just taken the risk and stepped up to stop ball.

Can't decide if this is a great goal, shambolic defending, or a bit of both.

Second guy in is the slightly shambolic part. First missed tackle is mostly Pepe being extremely strong on the ball (IMO).

It's shocking how few goals he has scored for Arsenal. He makes insane highlights getting a shot off, then always puts it wide. Mostly, he beats a defender 6 times because he is trying to get a shot off with his left foot when he had multiple opportunities with his right. Most one-footed player over the age of 7 I've ever seen.

He is only a loan from Orlando. If Barnsley does not get promoted they don't expect to keep him on a full transfer. Dike is playing for a shot in Europe and has been on a tear.

He's a beast. I hope he keeps it up. He had a great last year at UVA and was scoring goals at Orlando before Barnsley. Seems like he hasn't found a level he can't succeed at yet.

If “short side” isn’t a soccer term it should be.

In so many words... Front post sometimes is used. It's certainly a thing, as a goalie, that you don't get beat to the short side, but that might be a morphing from so many North American goalies also watching a lot of hockey.

That shot is unstoppable. I don't care if he knew it was coming, that's a once in a lifetime shot.

I was taught you should never get beat at the near post, but nobody is stopping that shot.
