The NZ keeper. And I'm being a little harsh, but you shouldn't be getting beat by headers from the top of the box.

When an opposing player is thundering down the flank like that, you have to be careful about your positioning. Until they "turn the corner" you can't be that far off your line. And when the cross is served, and it's clear you aren't going to be able to get there, you need to drop a step or two.

She's very flat footed, which is almost definitely because her mind was caught in two places.

And I'm increasingly feeling like keepers that are getting beat off kickoffs need to be shamed.

1.) Learn this name Tehoka Nanticoke. The next 4 years you will start seeing lots him (yes even you dopes who don't follow lacrosse).

2.) Normally this kid ends up at Syracuse. However, the Albany Head Coach (at JHU the same time as nonlinear I think) has been a big supporter of native american kids and causes (including a cross country drive to protest at Standing Rock).

2 solid goals from a 3rd-division French game this weekend.
Goal at 1:06 is good but the one at 2:30 is fantastic

Gotta love goals where the ball never touches the ground until it's in the net.

Birds don’t suck. They lack the necessary anatomical structures to do so.

Perhaps. Maybe there's a reason that goalie is playing in the USL and not MLS.

I mean, kinda?

You just don't expect a ball coming at your net when it's pinging around near midfield. Goalies are expected to act as a quasi-sweeper these days, so when the ball is just over the midfield stripe, they are going to be sitting near the top of their box, waiting for a long ball to get dumped in.

We were watching that game and I was sure that the goal was deflected. I don;t think I've ever seen a chipped goal like that one.
