As an old keeper, that is a great goal.

While I've never done this, it's a lot more common that folks might think. You wind up with that jai alai thing and think you can keep it cupped between your hand and wrist... And many times you can. Except, you know... When you can't.

Does the GK count against offside? If so, that's some bullshit

And, in fact, if you read the caption, the play WAS ruled offside.

Yeah, that's what Degen is talking about. He knows what was ruled, but doesn't think the guy was actually offside.

1) I'm an idiot.

b) I watched that clip 5 or 6 times. There's no possible way you can tell from that clip, one way or the other.

Exactly. You can't see the last defender or the forward when the ball is kicked. How could you possible say he was "way onsides?" He may have held his run, but it's off camera. Either way, that goal not counting was the worst thing involving a kid named Dylan in Columbine High School history.

This is a pretty awful penalty kick. It's from the Blackpool-Wycombe game for the JPL trophy (of whatever it's called these days).

On a side note, the official attendance was 776. Based on a short video I saw right before the match started, it looked like there were maybe 150 people in the stands.

Did Wycombe play an NFL fullback? The guy scoring after the terrible kick is massive.

He's their striker! The beast!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adebayo_Akinfenwa
Akinfenwa reportedly weighs around 16 stone (101 kg) and can bench press 200 kg, almost double his own body weight. He runs a clothing label called Beast Mode On which plays on his strong man reputation.

Wait. Are we focused on the last kick, or the first in that clip where the goalie saves it and then slaps it into his own net?

Is that the guy Men in Blazers interviewed, because he was the only player with 99 rated strength in FIFA 16?

Wow, that was some perfect english on the ball!

I will always have a soft spot for snooker, because playing it was the one thing my father, my grandfather, and I would do together. They were both pretty good shooters in their day - my grandpa would scoff at the squared off pockets of a standard pool table. He said it made the game "too easy".
