Arteta has a freakish hairline. Always disturbs me when I see him on the sideline.

Ancelotti to Everton out of left field.

City reportedly unhappy with Arsenal going after Arteta, LOL.

Unofficially, this is the first team managed by Allardyce and Ancelotti within a 2-year span.

The top season was in the Championship. And in 2014-15, the had to go on an incredible run at the end of the season (something like 5 wins in 6 games) just to avoid relegation.

True but remember after they won the PL they had Champions League. That adds to the challenge of the EPL..especially on a team that does not carry as big a depth. I mean Liverpool is basically running two teams (if not 3 if you count reserves/youth matches that I am sure are scheduled)

And couldn't afford to keep Kante the next season. And then lost Drinkwater and Mahrez the next two seasons.

Yeah it was. Mendy is going to be avoiding Pep in the locker room for sure.

And Adama Traore! What a beast of a player...

Just finished on delay. Mendy’s mistake was abysmal but Otamendi and Bravo are simply unplayable at this level.

Otamendi for sure.
The colour guy said early on that Wolves had to attack Otamendi since he didn't have the pace to keep up.

Adama Traore for Wolves is one of the most entertaining guys in the EPL. either doing incredible things or screwing up completely.

I think I see something yesterday that made it seem like it wasn’t going to be on “regular” TV, but it’s on. And 10%?

Ended up being on, which was just a real nice surprise. And 10% feels about right for City; they’re almost always on regular cable.

Not really worried about relegation...

Back in August, I thought they'd be 3rd at worst.

But you never know - been outplayed by most of the bottom teams this season.

I have a terrible feel for the life-cycle of such things. I guess the thought would be sell Salah for a ton and use that ton to get Mbappe and run it back with a 21-year-old? I guess that's what the FCBs of the world do?

That was the genius of Arsene Wenger, he knew when to sell the aging superstar just before they hit the wall. Sucked as a fan, especially since it was driven by cheap ownership that refused to pay market wages or spend on transfers. Can't blame Wenger for all the stars who left in their prime because the club wouldn't pay wages.
