Yeah...he's pretty incredible. Looks like he'd be a blast to play with.

He just WORKED David Luiz on that second goal.

Arsenal v Spurs was a really entertaining game, for the neutral.

Not bad for a non-neutral either.

Nice to see Spurs playing better - although if anyone other than Sissoko took that shot in the last minute, they might have won.

The Wolves-Everton game was even better.

The Everton-Wolves games was weird. Hot start to make it 2-1. Then a 60 minute lull then an explosive ending.

Chelsea youth movement starting to pay some dividends. Up 3-0 on Wolves at the half with goals from Abraham (2) and Tomori (2), both 21-years-old and both played in the Championship last year. 20-year-old Mason Mount made the second goal happen.

Tammy finished with a hat trick and Mount got the fifth goal. So, all 5 goals today were scored by kids 21 or younger and who played in the Championship last year (actually 6, because Tammy got an own goal too!). Chelsea's finally starting to take advantage of their deep and talented academy.

Sure looked like it today.

Not sure if any of you watched the Spurs scrimmage against the utterly horrendous Crystal Palace, but Roy Hogdson's tics are back.

The Watford game was the most Arsenal performance ever. Up 2-0 early in the second half, and in absolute complete control. Watford had shown little interest, and Arsenal had the passing game flowing. Even Ozil was up for the game with some sublime passes. Then Arsenal continue to attempt to tiki-taka out of the box on goal kicks, despite playing into danger several times. Sokratis panics, an gives the ball away inside the box for an easy goal. Watford comes to life, and Arsenal are on their heals for the final 40 minutes, lucky to pull out a draw. And of course, the tying goal came on a PK because of an insanely stupid David Luiz trip inches inside the 18 yard line, lunging and wildly sticking a leg in to a player out of control. Just plain stupid.

The "worst" part was that even during the match I found them to be fun and likeable. The Cantwell dance was great. Overall, it just really sucked.

I watched three minutes of the game and then switched back to the more competitive Bayern Munich vs. FC Koln match.

ETA: Then the halftime show came on and I saw Alexei Lalas and immediately muted my TV.

It’s like the bouncing slider in baseball losing contact with the bag for a split-second or the skate up offsides in hockey; technically right but spiritually wrong. If you implemented a “clear offside” margin of like 6” or something and anything less is ruled not a clear officiating error, all sides would be happy, no?

(Or, do my hockey idea, where a bench spotter on each team gets like 3 checks per game where if their hand is up inside ~2 seconds of the violation and the play results in a goal, it goes to review. If the bench doesn’t call it, it’s good as stands.)

One thing I haven't figured out during my time as a casual yet interested consumer of the EPL is whether the manager churn and the way some of you guys can turn at the drop of a hat is indicative of the out sized importance of football managers or just a sign that they don't mean much at all and therefore can easily be sacrificed to sate the fans. Or maybe both can be true sometimes?

I post that mostly because it's funny. I'm still in on OGS, and I didn't watch this week's game, but the games I have watched I'm not sure what manager would be doing much better!
