MAC Football Thread (2019-beyond)

If I ever win the Mega Millions or Powerball I'm definitely gonna give a lot to the CMU athletic department but I'm gonna be a real dick about it and make them name the head coaching position after me or some shit like that.

ESPN's gotta air something and when the MAC draws around a million pairs of eyeballs, everybody wins.

I thought college football was cancelled or postponed until the Spring. Are they actually trying to play? So fucking stupid.

I also think it's stupid for college kids to be out there playing. So, fwiw, I'm boycotting college football for now.

CMU-Ohio season opener tabbed for Wedesday, Nov. 4 on ESPN. I should be about recovered from my post-election hangover around then.

Did I win? And don't forget Diamond and ZMan! My son was telling me a UB running back ran for something like 400 yards and 8 TDs. Is the guy great, or just playing against a shit team?

Congrats to Ball U but enjoy it while you can because CMU today just signed a 4-star former ESPN 300 transfer QB from Washington so your Chippewa overlords are coming back for our title.

Holy shit, UB was in the AP top 25! Never thought that would be possible. In my day, UB was usually hovering around the bottom 10. OTOH, I see “horn up” is a thing UB fans say, and I can’t get behind that.

Ball State starting a "Chirp, chirp" campaign. What the fuck! Dumbest slogan ever.

That's what they get for handing out scholarships to average students. Thanks, Dave!

Bowling Green upsetting Minnesota and its fraud coach was the second biggest upset of the last 10 years (30.5 pt underdog). For perspective Michigan was a 21-pt favorite against App St in 2007 in what was considered an earth-shattering upset at the time.

Short of injury or injustice, CMU pandemic redshirt freshman RB Lew Nichols is going to be the first person in the history of college football to win a “Freshman Of The Year” award for a conference twice.

I'v gone to exactly one HS football game in the past 15 years. Just not something I seek out since I don't have kids or friends with kids on team. I think those days of Friday nights for HS, saturday for college and sunday for NFL are long gone.

(Assuming it gets played), the Sun Bowl will be the first time CMU football has played on an over-the-air network since the 1974 Division II national championship game.
