Football coaches are a weird, stupid breed.
You know what you need? A lyrical sucker punch to the face.

Some, clearly more than others.

Gotta say, don;t think you'd see Bellichick, Gibbs or any truly great coach sniffing ammonia on the sideline.

"My sister and her husband were killed in a horrific car accident last week. They've left behind three kids under the age of 9. I didn't attend their funeral because we need to use this bye week to get ready for Cincinnati."

"That's awesome, coach."

At least Belichick is a great coach. Gase is a complete psychopath and there’s no evidence other than that one ridiculous Peyton Manning MVP season to suggest that he’s anything remotely special.

Yeah, there's psychopathic commitment and then there are guys like Gase, Mangini and Greg Schiano who seem almost like a parody of the committed, half-crazed coach.

Yeah, my favorite anecdote in that piece was the one where he left his wife in the delivery room as soon as possible after his child was born, so he could have a meeting with Peyton Manning. Manning was dumbfounded.

Getting stuck rewatching a movie until after 1:00 AM but still setting my alarm for the 7:30 match pretty much makes me Adam Gase, huh?
