Yeah, there's talk of doing that in other conferences, too. So, the Michigan - Minnesota game would be a non-conference game, but they would play it every year because of the rivalry. (Similar to UNC - Wak, MN and MI are not in the same division.)

I watched a lot of their game today against Temple. I think Maryland has a good defense, but their offense looked really bad. Special teams kept giving them great field position, but the offense could do nothing with it.
Their O-line is garbage. I watched pretty much the entire second half with a bunch of Terps fans that were bitching about the QB the whole game. I finally turned to them and pointed out that he hadn't had a single clean pocket to pass from the entire half. Quieted down the bitching for a play or two, which was nice.

Man, feel so bad for Franks. I was starting to wonder if Mullen would put someone else in for a series or two, just for a change of pace since we were so stagnant. But hate that it took an injury like that.

Complete side note. We're flying in Florida in a couple weeks for trip to visit family/go to Disney. We land at about 11:30am on the 5th, the day of the Auburn game. They haven't set a game time yet, but we're seriously considering driving up from TPA to GNV for the game.

That cheer only works for Michigan Wolverine.

Yeah, but they handled the Syracuse defensive line, which some people prior to the season thought had the best pair of DEs in the ACC. My hopes going into that game included them terrorizing Maryland's inexperienced tackles.

I think the Cuse game is classic MD outlier weirdness. Terps shot out to a crazy early lead and now it's no longer straight up football, but the Orange having to run around and chase the game.

I can’t even describe it. Iowa’s QB has -65 rushing yards and that’s not in the top 5 craziest things.

It was fantastic for napping through the second quarter and ignoring the third (and most of the fourth) quarter.

But the writer didn't mean it to be racist, guys:

"The Tribune-Democrat, a newspaper in Johnstown, spoke with Petersen about the letter and how it has spread far and wide on the internet. Petersen said he did not intend for the letter to have a racist message.

"Was not the intent at all," Petersen told the Tribune-Democrat. "I would just like to see the coaches get the guys cleaned up and not looking like Florida State and Miami guys.""

I was in Nantucket and made very little effort to watch the game until around the middle of the 4th Q. Soooo glad I didn't waste much of my Saturday.

The offense, which returned most of a very decent O-Line, it's bevy of tall, athletic WRs and TEs, and its QB is in a massive regressive trend. They have ZERO identity at this point. Oh, and it's not like the RBs that are in there aren't good. There's no "speed in space"... at all. The QB isn't pulling and running on the RPO which makes that part of the system pretty much a liability.

The Gattis experiment is going HORRIBLY. If you want to give Harbaugh shit, it's that he put too much faith in this guy and at this point needs to pull the plug and go back to running his offense.

They have one last respite against the Illini before PSU... Last gasp.

Yes, it is. Not sure what kind of leverage was used to get teams to agree to that.

So, the more I see on this, the NCAA is trying to kick this down the road. Apparently after they announcement they called the sponsors of a bill in NC that would be similar to California and asked them to pull the legislation. The rep refused. So it's totally just in hopes that people will see they are thinking about it and not bring up bills in their state. First heard it with Jay Bilas this morning then saw several others agreeing. I shouldn't have been surprised.
