My wife’s phone got the notification before mine so I ran with it.

Well, so much for being excited for next Sunday.

When a federal lawsuit against you for rape surfaces, I'm out. Nope.

Yeah, this is bad. I think I know people who know this woman (a LOT of CMU grads from the PT there program work for Cirque de Soleil, at least four I know of). I tend to believe women by default but I can’t imagine a PT professional “getting confused” about appropriateness or any other excuse you want to confirm on a man.

So much for a happy ending for the pats.

I read $9M from the Pats was guaranteed, so if nothing else you have to appreciate the possibility of three teams in the same conference all trying to claw back eight figure sums from one player who played for all three in the same league year.

Also, not sure if a player has ever gone from no-doubt first ballot Hall of Famer to never likely making it faster. Even Pete Rose would have been closer if he was eligible.

Got to.

Just did some research - the favourites in the 11 biggest spreads in NFL history are 2-9.

Three biggest road favourites re 0-3.

Taking Miami... but not near the top in my confidence pool.

I haven't listened to the latest PMT, but it looks like Gronk trolled everyone.

Edit

Yup. Hilarious.

I'm not defending AB here. At all. But I don't think a lawsuit being federal means anything special. It's still just a private lawsuit. It's not like the FBI is going after him or anything.

Lawyers can correct me if I'm wrong.

But yeah, that's a hell of a week for AB.

But still. I just feel gross about it now. He's counter suing and there will definitely be a back and forth, but like, that's real shit. And I'm not gunna fuck around and joke about serious allegations.

The laughing at the Steelers and Raiders fans is one thing because antics are always going to happen and they are ultimately theater. This just isn't.

I want to say take the points, duh. Especially at Miami in the summer but I also remember Randy Moss spinning and dancing in the Miami end zone. I don't think this is that.

It's too many points for me. So I am making the (not so) bold move of taking both the Dolphins and Cardinals in my confidence pool...

For 2 & 3 points respectively.

I made a comment about Gardner Minshew in the other thread.

Deadspin made a post about him. He's the newest meme.

A graph of how funny Jags QB names have been for the last 5 years would look like a glacial crevasse

He may end up getting a ton of yards, but there's something wrong with Cam Newton.

Is this reviewable? When the penalty occurred?
Jerome Boger never knows what's going on.

Panthers have totally gone away from Newton's strengths. He doesn't run at all anymore. That last play should have been an easy QB sneak for a first down instead of a gadget play.

This makes me really sad, because Cam is easily my favorite non-Eagles player.

He was just awful last night. We joked that the best defense is leave guys downfield wide open because he couldn't hit anyone outside of 10 yards

I mean we feared that Cam Newton's shoulder was shot coming into the season so I'm not really all that surprised.

Yeah his shoulder is no longer functional.

Sure, then why make him a pocket passer. He ran 0 times last night.

Ok then have him run a few times (and lead with his ruined shoulder that isn't quite right) and suck on the other 40 passes.
