Ouch.

I got lucky I chose to fold a 36 (both diamonds) last to act before the blinds - debates seeing the raise and fishing from position - flop after I folded had two diamonds and after heavy betting - eventually the river showed a third diamond. I was kicking myself until the showdown showed a winning flush hand with a Q2 so I would have bled hard had I followed that to the end.

I rivered a flush on hand 1 and picked up about $8K. A good start.

Don't know if its the actual guy, but i'm choosing to believe it is. Just busted pro player Andy Bloch and have a touch over 80k now.

Just doubled up. Around 75k now.

I just doubled up as well. I'd had to fold a lot of hands in row before finally getting two playable hands in a row. On the second I flopped 2 pair for my AT hole cards. I'm at about $117K now and can start being a bit more aggressive.

Doubled up and I’m at 109k now. A few spots behind Shirley. For a while, I had 2 of the top 10 on the leader board at my table. Glad they’re gone.

Drifting along at $14150 - looking for opp to double up. About to go all-in with AJ suited.

Good luck! That's a pretty good hand to take a chance with.

It was. But it got beat by a 33 call. At no point in two months did any of my strong hands ever hit the board on the flop. Like the program had it out for me.

I won a couple of hands in the last few days (one big one) and now have just shy of $200K.

A-high straight on the board after three players went all-in pre-flop?

Looking at it another way, I got absolutely rivered with that last 10.

How does 88 raise all in? So dumb and gets saved

This why I quit poker.

It's not dumb if he is running low on blinds and is picking a spot to shove. In the above case, that was stupid, but it's an email poker tourney and people do dumb bluffy things more in that format. He deserved to get cleaned out, Shirley got screwed.

I guess but if you are running low on blinds then your shove won't be big enough. On a board of AQJ with a better and a raise already, someone has something.

It's basically a play based on the odds generated by number of hands the player has left vs. the likelihood of getting a better hand than the pocket eights in that time.

Looking at the hand, he probably goes all-in at that point due to Shirley's modest raise suggesting he's not that strong and Marina Man making a last stand. Pocket eights is a good hand for that situation because docober probably figures he's ahead at that point with a pair, probably putting Shirley on something like A-10 or Q-J suited.

Yeah, and MarinaMan has been going all in pre-flop on a lot of hands, obviously out of desperation. Calling with 88 was a perfectly reasonable. He may have thought that going all in would scare me off and he'd win an easy hand.

Still can't believe the board produced an A-high straight on its own, especially when I know I was holding QQ. Craziness.

Sometimes in the WRGPT I wonder if the program has some qwirks to make things interesting. Sort of like the Madden AI cheating back in the day.
