We had a guy in our league acquire Gordon about 30 hours before it was announced he was reporting. So glad he's in the same division as Giff, Sabo, Sybian, and me.

In this week's Scramble For The Ball column in Football Outsiders they discuss the utter ineptitude of the Dolphins this year, their pace of shittiness, and their chances to shatter different league marks for futility. For example, they are on pace to be outscored by 624 points this year. Obviously they can't keep up this pace, but we might be looking at the worst team relative to their competition ever, or at least since the expansion Bucs.

I'm trying to think in my head how far you would have to go back in time to find a champion they could beat on a neutral field (and we're talking using a time machine, not the "of course the Dolphins would beat the '62 Packers, those Packers are all dead!" joke). Because this team is really devoid of NFL talent right now. I'm thinking nobody earlier than the '92 Cowboys, even with the difference of 25+ years of athletic and schematic innovation.

If we're talking merely Super Bowl participants, they probably beat the '85 Patriots, right?

Since 2010, only three teams have not played in a first round NFL playoff game. Browns, Bucs, and Patriots. Fuck the AFC east!

I just had mine this morning. I got offerred Alshon Jeffrey, Jarvis Landry, and JJ Arecega-Whiteside for Mahomes AND Aaron Jones, in a dynasty league where both my guys are dirt-cheap to keep.

I don't know if there is a big enough Eagles fan on the planet to accept that offer.

It doesn't help when they declined a penalty that would have made it 4th and 7.

First Giants drive, 3rd and 7 at the WSH 33, pass is incomplete and offensive holding. Do you accept or decline the penalty?

I could see an argument for accepting the penalty if you are not the shitty Redskins defense.

I think you should accept the penalty to knock the other team out of FG range, and hope you don’t give up 10+ yards on the next play.
