We know all this.

So why is Pelosi stalling. Make McConnel do what hes going to do. Then run on that in 2020.
BTW, you say "we know all this."

Really? Did you know that's how Move On started? Were you really aware that the majority of Dems back during Clinton's impeachment took the stance that, of course, lying under oath is bad. They didn't defend it, they just said it didn't rise to the level of impeachment.

I don't think that many people know their history.

So, no offense, but saying, in effect, that everyone understands how fucking outrageous the GOP's actions are in historical and existing context is... Well, it's bullshit.

ETA: degen, YOU may very well be aware of what I'm talking about, I'm not trying to be an asshole. My point is that the vast majority... Like, probably 90 percent of GOP and probably I'd say around 50 percent of Dems and Independents, aren't really aware of what I'm talking about.
When do people pay attention? in September of 2020. Make McConnell go through with it then call him out for it. Run GOP soundbites of the sham-trial continuously. McConnel grew out of the septic tank of Newt Gingrich. The system is broken, so make the GOP totally break it. Blow it all up.
Um. You understand we're basically saying the same thing, right?
You can lead a horse to fish, but you can't fish out a horse.

Kentucky Senate Ad:

“Mitch McConnell. He says he cares about Kentucky. But he wants guys who hit women to have guns so they can shoot them. (Caption of him holding up VAWA). And who does he back?”

Audio of Trump: “Grab ‘em by the pussy.”

“Kentucky women can’t let McConnell shoot them.”

These people who support Trump can't be shamed into not voting for him regardless of the ad copy.

That’s not who they need to focus on. There’s always going to be people voting for McConnell. They need to get the people who didn’t vote last time and they need to get those voters pissed at him. Angry citizens vote.

I suppose that's true, but I doubt there's enough of them in Kentucky at least, but perchance to dream.

That’s a pretty amazing guess to step back on. Evangelical leaders walk away from thrice married man who pays porn stars for affairs means they must have been hacked.

That would be my guess. Their security is probably laughable especially going up against state-sponsored hackers.

Pretty sure the underlying idea is that Trump's usefulness is over and all the stuff the media should be talking about like court packing is accomplished enough. Thus he's now more of a liability than an asset.

Evangelist Christians are not having sudden revelations now.

I fully buy into the "Trump can't read the words he's needing to read because he won't wear glasses" theory, but yes, his vocabulary is getting smaller and smaller

Trump was told by Putin in 2017 that Ukraine tried to steal the election from him... That's all he needed to hear.

Batshit Crazy Interview With Giuliani
This is a ridiculously pernicious view that Giuiliani expresses about Soros:
”Don’t tell me I’m anti-Semitic if I oppose him,” he said. “Soros is hardly a Jew. I’m more of a Jew than Soros is. I probably know more about — he doesn’t go to church, he doesn’t go to religion — synagogue. He doesn’t belong to a synagogue, he doesn’t support Israel, he’s an enemy of Israel. He’s elected eight anarchist DA’s in the United States. He’s a horrible human being.”
The notion that people like Giuiliani and Trump are entitled to decide who the “real Jews” are, based on political viewpoints, and then hate everyone else, is completely toxic.

For all the big, bad, and scary everything that is George Soros, I've never heard him say a word.

But the Koch Brothers, Mercer family, Adelson, Murdoch, and Ailes actually big baddies, only death can shut them the fuck up. It's weird.

Soros is the new Rothschilds - rich guy who is a lightning rod for anti-semites.

If this was 1933, Hitler would have said what Giuliani did.

I'm not fully versed on his speeches as he came to power, but I would bet almost any amount of money he said something like that, probably many times.

CNN is saying “more than a dozen” ballistic missiles launched from inside Iran.

Maybe my geography is off, but I was always under the impression that ballistic missiles were more used for longer distances. I’m trying to figure out the distance between launch and impact points, and I wouldn’t consider the use of ballistics there. Jhonnie?

Ballistic just describes the path, no? Arching and using gravity. Intercontinental ballistic missisles (icbm) are next gen but there are shorter range.

If, after nearly 20 years of disastrous war in Afghanistan and Iraq, the Democratic nominee is unwilling or unable to make a persuasive anti-war case, than our country is in an even deeper state of decline than I thought.
