The Swamp

Hey all. The Swamp is several versions out of date, so I'm going to catch us up. I'll do this in a few minutes. It'll take the board down for a few minutes. Hopefully not for too long!

Oh, and I just added a new extension. I think this one is cool. If you have an image in your clipboard, you can just paste it into a post and it adds it as an image. Very handy for screenshots and whatnot. I just tested it and it worked.

Let me know if you run into any problems (with it or any other Swamp functions).

apparently I was the only person using the "subsilver" posting view in the profile preferences. it broke on this account when I went to the display options and changed the message board design.

I was able to change it back to the default view from this account though. Let's try my original account...

UPDATE

I cannot access that part in the control panel with my original account. I can get to the control panel page but none of the tabs that I see in the default view that apparently everyone else uses pop up in the broken page.

So, just FYI. I can use this account in the meantime if I need to.

I think I gave up and switched off subsilver after a different update a couple of years ago after which using it caused something else (quotes?) to not work correctly.

When I click the YouTube links, I'm getting an error message.

I mean - I had to go over to YouTube itself to watch the gymnastics.

Rather than link to a website image in your profile, I think you have to save the image on your computer, then upload from there.

Just noticed the avatar thing. They must have removed the linked avatar option in the newest version for some reason.

If you look at the last three posts in the "spins" thread, ER's post from 11/20 plays fine, but misterd's and rush's made since the update do not. If you repost ER's link in a new post it doesn't work.

I'll see if I can figure that out. Since we added that fancy media-playing extension, phpbb has actually added it to their official extensions set. I tried turning that on with the new board version, but it looked to me like it wasn't working for Youtube (which is weird), so I went back to the old extension. I thought that was still working, but maybe not.

It looks like we had an old youtube BBCode that was conflicting with the new one. I think it's working now. Let me know if you see anything else broken.

I see it worked for you. But, when I try to post a youtube video it just shows the url.

Yeah, those last two in Spins show now in those posts, but if you copy those links into a new post they don't work.

Tweets/Twitter links appear to be doing the same thing (sorry jerloma).
