As bad as LSU's defense has been this year, the Gators scrubs ought to be able to hang half a hundred on LSU anyway.

This is Syracuse's new starting QB (due to injury). He's pursuing a master's, has survived cancer, and can do this:

This Kentucky-Tennessee game is something. TN QBs might have thrown more passes caught by Kentucky than Tennessee.

I don’t know what the deal is with Tennessee today but they’d be rolled by a mid-level MAC team the way they’re playing. Kentucky has been playing well, especially on D but Tennessee just looks horrible.

And I’m already getting tired of the SEC whining about having played more games for the Playoff Bracket and the Big 10 and PAC 12 haven’t even played a game yet. Wait until you have something to whine about, assholes.

It always cracks me up that in college games, even on the major networks, all of the replay angles seem to come from the Space Shuttle

Whereas in the NFL, even Lions vs. Bengals, there is always somehow a perfect camera shot. It’s uncanny.

Kicking myself for shying out of taking UK and points. Really wanted to but feel down all Alabama fans fear a UT resurgence. Not convenient to play them next week either.

DeVonta Smith might be the best WR to come through at Alabama and that’s really saying something. Also, Mac Jones looked bad in the first half but he really adjusted and looked great in the second. I felt he looked afraid of the uga pass rush early, and in the second he stepped up and made some big throws. He’s a talented player.

Total pros in the booth to not drop a “holy shit” during that replay after just assuming it wasn’t a catch.

That would have had to stand whichever way they called it. I think the got it right but a couple of the later replays were a bit muddier.

Lots of caveats, but Joe Milton appears to be the real deal in Ann Arbor. After a weird start, the MI offense absolutely shredded the Gophers.

Also, Spartans lost to Rutgers.

Wow.

=-=-=-=-=

ETA - The biggest beef with Shea last year is that he just didn't really take advantage of pretty massive opportunities with RPO. Milton looks a lot like JT Barrett back there. As in, you are fucked as a D if it's 3rd and 4 or under.

(The other beef I had with Patterson was his inability to make a not even a big play, but to really just make important plays. So, I'm not asking him to hit on 50 yard bombs, but he routinely missed easy reads and open receivers. Milton, only one game in, but he hit what he needed to and kept other plays alive with timely runs.)

I'm sure they put a frigging two liter there to make Saban's standard 20 ouncer look small, but I like to think now that Dabo is actually the size of Dr. Pepper's Lil Sweet.

Circling back to the PSU-IU zaniness.

If an entire defense lays down with 1:47 (or whatever) and allows you to walk into the endzone. It's remarkably dumb to just walk in their.

I don't like dumping on college kids, but that was pretty amazing. Also amazing that PSU coaches didn't explicitly send in a sub to tell them not to kill the clock/score under any circumstance.

And to act like this has never happened before (talking about a clip I saw with Urban Meyer) is stupid. Happened in a fucking Super Bowl, ffs.

And before any "hard to prepare for all circumstances" come rolling in*, they pay these coaches a fuckton of money.

Fucking figure it out in the moment.

* /unnecessarily pre-emptively defensive

In their defense, an NFL team made the exact same mistake on Sunday (albeit while trying to do the correct thing)

The most hilarious thing about Wisconsin canceling their game against Nebraska because of a big Covid outbreak? A number of Nebraska fanboys on twitter claiming that it's because Wisconsin is "scared" of the Cornhuskers.

No, the funniest thing is that the jackass who was tweeting about how getting the Big-10 season going again was like D-Day or the raid to kill Osama Bin Laden, and he was proud of his 'mission, is a big Wisconsin booster.

LIfe comes at you fast... Boston College 28 Clemson 10 almost to the end of the first half.

I believe that line was Clemson -31 when the news came out about Lawrence, and was at Clemson -24 after it got put back on the board. So if you are on BC plus the points - that feels super safe...
